[21] Added Departure procedures to air traffic

Release Note Line Item 21 and Description: Added Departure procedures to air traffic

Is it fixed as stated?

If no or partial, please give details below on your findings:
Some departing traffic appears to select and roughly follow the first available SID in the list for the active runway. The aircraft do not select procedures intelligently to put them close to their desired flight plan waypoints and often end up circling around back to their first enroute waypoint.
Edit: After further testing I confirm they always pick the first SID alphabetically. This also occurs on arrival where all planes will route to the first STAR alphabetically in the list for their landing runway

Capture from Littlenavmap showing a number of orange AI Planes following AKEL2Q SID out of NZAA runway 05R which is the first SID in the list. I noted that the planes do not properly track all the SID segments swinging out wide on some of the turns.

Also note the nonsense model matching, ‘Kuwaiti Airlines’ does not fly to NZAA. However this is a discussion for another topic.

Just for clarification, does this fix apply to AI Offline traffic, Real-Time traffic, or both?

I assume it does not necessarily apply to 3rd party mod (AIG or FSLTL for example).

Just want to be clear on what I should or should not expect when trying it out.

Thanks,

I tested this with live traffic. FSLTL injected traffic didn’t seem to follow SIDs unfortunately. I didn’t try AIG injected traffic but I’d expect it’d be the same.

Take-off procedure is still extremely slow, the aircraft often take off far too early and climb very slowly. A four-engine airliner (AI Traffic) was still only at 5000ft AGL after about 15 miles after take-off.

I am currently unable to test this fix due to the fact that AI traffic will not physically depart an airport. They just lineup on the runway and never takeoff. Flights sit on runway until they eventually disappear. Arrivals will land as if they are not there, i.e. do NOT go-around.

Below is a link to a Little Nav Map video showing the issue.

This is happening with all forms of AI, Real Time, AI Offline, AIG, FSLTL. I have reinstalled FS and tested with absolutely clean Community folder and zero mods. No change.

Any ideas would be most apricated.

This is not the same issue we’re discussing here, can you please open a different bug report.

Also have you tried setting ground airport vehicle traffic to at least 1%. This was an issue introduced in SU10 that sadly has not been fixed.

I have finally managed to get 1 complete departure, not stuck on runway until deletion, in the last 5 days (that is not an exaggeration)

The departure did not follow any SID out of KJFK, at least none available in Little Nav Map. Using Realtime sim traffic.

On a positive note, whatever route it was assigned was at least ‘reasonable’. If all departing traffic could do something similar to this flight I could temporarily live with it. Naturally the goal is to have Realtime, AI Offline, AIG, FSLTL follow the correct procedures.

I’m not sure if this issue is directly related - however on a number of occasions I’ve found aircraft blocking the runway (rotated 180 degrees). Today, I had two sitting at EGAA. They just never move and then eventually appear to fade out.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I have seen many airports where the taxiway does not connect to the runway so the planes just sit there wtrh nowhere to go

Team unabe to reproduce this issue.
