112gb install or whatever, should take less than an hour to download on my line.

Running 24 hours now, still got 30GB left to download, what gives?

Have paused/resumed/restarted, the installer claims to be getting 49Mbit/s but Task Manager disagrees.

36 hours and counting. only downloaded 5GB since my last post

Hi there!
There are multiple topics on this:

If you have been 36 hours at the 45Mbit speed, it’s probably “looping”.

Depending on your location and ISP:

That’s done the trick, in case anyone finds this thread again in future the below steps resolved the issue:

Steam version

To bypass the Data Bandwidth Usage Limit, delete the Steam Cloud save.

  1. Close Microsoft Flight Simulator
  2. In Steam, right-click on the Microsoft Flight Simulator icon
  3. Go to Properties

I finally found a solution that worked for me:

  1. Setting up a VPN
speed went from 5 MBS to 16 and slowed down again to 5 MBS
  2. Closing down the VPN
my download is now > 220 MBS
  3. When downloading stalls again, I just switch my VPN on and off.

Easy does it on the big downloads like the whole game. I have a fast home internet, so when stuck, I insert an old and s l o w wireless repeater to drag down the total speed. I was stuck at 72% of the total game. Now I am making progress again.

Problem was with fspackage 022. I finally escaped this by adding CPU limiting of 66% to MSFS2020 using BES. Now back to progress. When done, I shut down BES.

I think some part of the download and reconstruction process isn’t waiting form some other part of the process so endless failures and re-trys. Maybe they can fix this.
