I think they said week beginning the 2nd, doesn’t necessarily mean today.

Correction: it says “We are currently preparing another patch for the week of Dec 2nd with further stability improvements and other fixes.”. My bad.

Considering we’re coming out of what is for many in the US the longest traditional holiday break we get (4 days for Thanksgiving on Thursday, plus Friday and the following weekend), I would not expect ANYTHING significant from Microsoft until at least mid-day tomorrow, possibly later.

arguably, they have until saturday at 11:59 pm to release the patch
They technically even have until Sunday 11:59pm.
But yeah, Tuesday or Wednesday would make the most sense
If Asobo ran Microsoft’s XBox Games division and Microsoft’s Azure cloud CDN that distributes patches, you would be right. They don’t, however, so you’re quite wrong.

Just to confirm that as per our recent post there is a planned patch for this week. Whilst I can’t provide a more exact time frame for this patch at the moment, please know that we will announce this new patch on our social platforms, website, and of course here on the forums as well when it goes live!

Microsoft people who interface with Asobo have to approve and release it to (other) Microsoft people who interface with the CDN to send out the patch through the Azure network.
And yet, absent urgent Zero Day patches, Microsoft issues Windows Updates on Tuesdays, and until very recently, for literally years, only updated Marketplace content on Thursdays.
The point is, any MSFS updates are NOT generated and sent out on Asobo’s schedule. They are inextricably tied up with Microsoft’s XBox Games schedule, its personnel’s schedules, and coordinating within Microsoft itself for Azure distribution.
All of which is a long-winded way of reiterating that this is the first business day after a 4-day holiday weekend for most of corporate America. Don’t get your hopes up for a patch today. If it does happen, great. Happy surprise. Just don’t be surprised if it doesn’t.

Thanks for the info! Could you tell us if there are also fixes for the career mode? Maybe give a kind of an outlook on what’s probably be in that patch. No promises - sure - but at least we would know the intentions they have?
It would be interesting to see the list of fixes for this patch and for the next week one.
Yup, XBOX support was up yesterday they helped me with a game that wasn’t showing in my library.
I think the tuesday schedule for patches does make sense and I would hope it will arrave then.
Only concern it might be a easier livestream if the can say, look at the patch we provided right now. Your problem might be fixed already. Lets move on

I wouldn’t expect details until the patch comes out. I was a developer, and a pre-patch declaration of fixes to come essentially amounted to a promise to the end users, and sometimes patches have to be revised at the last minute.

Today they supposed to come up with the patch for msfs 2024.
How do I know if it was actually installed?
The patch was announced for week commencing Dec 2nd. I doubt it’ll be today - but of course it would be great if it was!

As @Flak99 wrote above, we previously announced that there will be a patch this week (“week of December 2”) and another patch next week (“week of December 9”). This does not necessarily mean that the updates will be released exactly on December 2 and December 9.
In both cases, we will post a new topic in Official Microsoft Flight Simulator > News & Announcements with the release notes when each patch goes live.
