Hi everybody am I right in saying that msfs is not set up or supports multiple screens
The issue I’m getting is I use 3 screens and have found that the left and right screen is more stretched than the middle screen.
It’s not really causing a problam but it is noticeable. I’ve even swapped the screens about in case it was the screen but it still does the same only stretching the left and right screens
Just wondered if this is normal or am I doing somthing wrong
Any advise would be much appreciated
Thsnks
Hey @EgoisiticJ0e and welcome back!
Which HDMI splitter are you using? I also want to setup multiple monitor as you in the future, so im starting to get things ready.
At this moment im not on my main computer but this is streamed through external desktop,
The receiving computer is a 1230 xeon cpu and a 780 ti geforce gpu 3 same eizo screen 19 inch in surround mode 3840 x 1024
While main computer is a i9 10900x cpu and 3090 gpu desktop res 3840 x 2160, and secondaryscaling 4197 x 1119 which in usercfg.opt is 1.093000 and renderscale at 175 which give me 7345 x1950 ( way overdone, but working near smooth).
Hi ya
I’m running 3 x 24inch monitors from a 2080ti
In surround mode
To be fare it does work and is very much do able. Yes the left and right screens are a little different to the center screen but it does look ok
Only draw back to 3 screens is you loose frames. I get roughly 25/30 frames say at a hand crafted airport like Heathrow with the FBW a320. If I narrow msfs Down to 1 screen I get 50 plus frames and that’s ultra settings
So I said it is do able if u can except the slight stretch in left and right screen
Hello EgoisiticJ0e the best you can hope for is to use nVidia Surround or the AMD cousin and yes the side panels will be stretched.
However with any of the tracking software/hardware (TrackIR/Tobii eye track and others) you can alleviate some of the stretching by directing the focus.
As in you wont be “looking at the stretched bit” while it’s stretched.
This wont get a squared cockpit view and you would be best served to almost keep all three monitors FLAT rather than create a cockpit.
It’s near the Holidays I’m a bit ripped, hope it’s all legible.
