You sir, are a star
I think this is a list of all the new glider airports:
Looks correct to me and matches the patch notes count
And this is a partial list of the Heliports
I can get you to the rest of the 14 heliports mentioned (but names omitted from) the patch notes. Bold are my adds to your list.
- London Heliport, EGLW, London, United Kingdom
- Giza Plateau Helipad, HEGH, Giza, Egypt
- Downtown Manhattan Heliport, KJRB, Manhattan, New York, United States
- Issy-les-Moulineaux Heliport, LFPI, Paris, France
- Tokyo Heliport, RJTIH, Tokyo, Japan
- Heliponto Dona Marta, SMDH, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Burj Al Arab, OBAR, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Lingotto Building Helipad, LIBH, Turin, Italy
- Bitexco Financial Tower Helipad, VVBF, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietman
- Menara Telekom Tower Helipad, WMMT, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- The Needles Lighthouse Helipad, WMMT, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom
- US Bank Tower Helipad,4CA1, Los Angeles, California, United States
- Rainbow Air Incorporated Heliport, NK80, Niagara Falls State Park, New York, United States
- White House Helipad, KWHH, Washington D.C., United States
Hereās three other notable things I found.
- Merrill C. Meigs Field, KCGX, Chicago, United States - shows on the World Map as having a heliport, though I can only seem to find runway/parking
- Shell Central Facilities E Bay Block 24 Heliport, 53LA, Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, United States - contains the word āheliportā but appears to be a seaplane base from what I can tell
- Mt Rushmore Heliport, Keystone, South Dakota, United States - is in the game as a POI, canāt take off from it for whatever reason
@HawkMoth9135 ā¦in case you were still looking for them
I deleted the Asobo version and kept the payware awdesigns-tncm.
You need to update your package in Microsoft Store!
Thanks, Iāll check it out the next time I fire up the Xbox
Looks like itās an Xbox issue. Oh joy
Itās too bad we canāt actually see the new locations on the world map since 2020/2021 items are listed as ānewā without a way to clear the icon.
I am sooo sad I cannot takeoff with either the Osprey or the F-35B at the new heliports
My sim, my choice!!!
Thrilled to see Kai Tak included, but nowadays there are many buildings in the runway 13 approach that are far, far taller than were allowed by the height restrictions extant when the airport was in use. Iād really like to see Asobo re-implement the height restrictions from the pre-1998 Cap. 301 Hong Kong Airport (Control of Obstructions) ordinance that existed in Kai Takās day to make this approach properly flyable again.
Couldnāt see the checkerboard either
Do you have any other HK sceneries installed, and is the Kai Tak scenery definitely downloaded? The checkerboard was perfectly visible for me.
This TNCM version (made by GAYA) is wayyy better, like by far better than AWD TNCM.
-First the grass, the grass texture is spot on in the latest release, in AWD itās a weird irish green and the texture doest follow satellite imagery. GAYA is yellowish and it does follow the imperfection of the ground you see on satellite imagery instead of being a perfect green golf like AWD has done.
-Then asphalt texture, the asphalt texture is again, spot on, sharp, no blurryness at all, completely custum, the tiremark on the runway are not dark enough but miles better than AWD really, just open some satellite imagery you will be able to compare.
-The runway, the runway texture as I said is really close to real life, closer than AWD, the runway is also not totally flat, AWD is flatter than a pancake. But, in real life TNCM runway is actually curved and both fail to capture this curvature, Iām workin on a mod to correct that, Itās possible to Ā« slopemod Ā» GAYA TNCM but impossible with AWD, (I already tried both).
-The Jetway, AWD uses MSFS default jetway, obviously they looks nothing like that in real life, GAYA TNCM use custum jetway and they are spot on, again.
-Maho beach, maho beach is flat with AWD, zero relief but the beach is populated with animated people. GAYA is not populated but the beach looks more like a dune, closer to real life.
-Also the vegetation is better with GAYA, it involves custum palm trees that you would see at SXM. AWD msfs uses generic palm trees, they are too big and that type of palm trees cannot be seen in the Caribbean but in north Africa and in some middle est countries.
-Static aircraft, AWD uses custum statics aircraf, private jet, Winair Twin Otter, DHL C208, really great placement a great variety that represent the plane you would see at TNCM. GAYA use msfs default static aircraft, a bit of a dƩsappointement, I will remove them and add AIG static aircraft instead in my mod.
-AWD comes with TNCM and TFFG, wich is an even more interresting airport than TNCM to me, it is located on the french part of the island, youāll see Twin Otter, C208 grand caravan, pilatus PC12 and ATR on this airfield. Fun fact ATR has to use reverse before taking of in order to get more available runways distance for takeoff.
GAYA doesnāt have TFFG sadly, but I already found a way to use GAYA TNCM and AWD TFFG at the same time, without any conflicts
Here you have it, Iām a caribbean so I know a thing or two about caribbean island and of course, I already went to SXM multiple time, but it was 10year ago last time soā¦ā¦take what I said hasā¦you knowā¦.
Thanks for this. Very useful.
Iāve just done the white house helipad as a mod.
Aināt no way Iām giving up the ability to use a V22 there so Iād better figure out how to make them work together.
Anyone else got a building on the helipad at EGLW?
Seems like its an issue with London Landmarks
Without London Landmarks there is still an issue for me
Would you share how you achieved this?

@Doublelaunch I think #15 is SCVH
With DD Chicago Iām taking off in a swamp, need to tinker with it. Will try to remove, load it without it and reinstall again.
DDās Chicago landmarks does indeed conflict with Meigs Field, resulting in the airport pretty much disappearing. I imagine that DD will come out with an update soonish to remedy this issue, but in the meantime, there is a workaround. If you go into the experimental menu in MSFS and open up the Package Reorder Tool, you can press the down arrow by āmicrosoft-airport-kcgx-meigs-fieldāā¦this will increase the Priority number (the number between the arrows) from 0 to 1. It will also most likely send the entry to near the bottom of the list. This will force the Meigs scenery to override DD in that region. The only thing Iām not sure about right now is if this change carries over when you shut down the sim and restart.
Edited for clarity
Edit #2: One caveat to this is that the ground imagery at Meigs retains the satellite imagery from the present day (i.e.whatās currently on Northerly Island in Chicago)ā¦this makes the ground around the runway and taxiway appear weird. Itās something I can live with for now, though, to get both Meigs and DD Chicago Landmarks.
Edit #3: Looks like this does not persist once the sim is shut downā¦upon restart, I had to go back to the Package Reorder Tool and send KCGX back to the bottom of the listā¦it had retained a ā1ā priority number, but MSFS had reordered it somewhere in the list above Chicago Landmarks. Iām really wishing now that we could still use content.xml to change and save our āload orderā, so to speak.
Speaking of Meigs Field, I think Gaya did a fantastic job (though I wish I could take the drone camera inside the control tower and the terminalā¦they both have nice interiors but the collision physics keep me out). I am curious, thoughā¦for those of you who purchased Z Designās version, how does Gayaās compare?
