So i wanted to follow up on the thread I created back in 2022 when the 4090 first released, but now to follow up with the 5090 + multi frame generation (x4), and all I can say is WOW! While I know some people call it “fake frames” and that the FPS isn’t real yada yada yada. One thing however I will say is the game feels buttery smooth. I’ve attached some pictures for reference

How is the MFG multiplier (ie 2x/3x/4x) set in MSFS? Is it in the nVidia app or is it settable in MSFS?
It has to be set in the Nvidia App currently

If you need X4 frame generation on a 5090 to get good FPS there is an issue somewhere. That card alone should be able to get 60 FPS under any condition without any trickery.
The issue being that FS 2024 is still CPU limited in many circumstances.
Those are great numbers. I have to say that with a 7800x3d and a 4090 I’ m able to get 60FPS in almost every scenario with FG enabled. Don’t really see the point of simming with 200FPS and a 5090 in Europe is €2000+
50 true fps at an image size of 7.3 Mpix is actually not particularly remarkable. I can have that with my 4090 at 8.3 Mpix too.
I really want to have a look at this DLSS 4 but all of the messing around I’ve seen people having to do just to get it to work seems like a major hassle?
Not at all. It’s peanuts. Just download DLSS Swapper. Instructions are all over the place.

That in itself is where it’s most notable is how buttery smooth it is. I agree 200+ FPS is just overkill for this game but the smoothness was something I was able to pick up right away over the 4090
Thanks for the insight, most of the comments seem like copium for not having the latest hardware. 200+ fps means you very likely had a base 60, and I would any day take the extra smoothness, since you wont notice the latency hit beyond 60 anyway.

Without a high HZ monitor, that FG X3 or more is utterly pointless. 4090, with FG gives close to the same result as 5090 to be honest. Can not imagine many people are simming higher than 120 HZ…
Actually not, as you see in video, stock taa with 5090 in 3rd party EFHK was 40fps. I have 175hz monitor and still wasnt full fps used with mfg x4. But yes, if you meant 200+ hz monitors are high hz monitor.
I think most simmers dont run with 60hz monitors, i think most are 120-144hz. I could be wrong tough.
It’s not even at 4K… No offense but who uses a 5090 at less than 4k?! 3440X1440 = might as well use a 3080!
