5120x1440 and FPS

I am running a 3700X, RTX 2070 super, 32 gig Ryzen optimized Corsair Ram, and a 49 Super Ultra Wide from Phillips, effectively the same panel as the Samsung.

I am actually running 3 monitors - 2 x 24" at 1920 x 1080, which I use for FS economy, a web page, sim connect app etc ,and the panel at 5120 x 1440. I can run the panel at 3840 x 1080 if desired but I have not found a reason to run less pixels yet.

I am running the SIm on Ultra everything Except LOD drawn down to 100. 30 Frames every where.

I dont fly liners really, just GA, and its one hell of an experience. I am really into FSE right now, and just punting around a load of UK airforce bases I used to frequent as a kid. Its great, everything I wanted.

Set up is not 100% perfect yet in terms of layout and desk… I am building that this weekend and the monitors above the screens will locate either side of the VR camera on top of the Panel, which is superb with Head tracking.

I found you have to really take each change in Graphic settings with care. NO point over clocking and pushing things. I am running the Ryzen Optimized power settings and have the cpu sat at around 40% utilized, the G card is maxed out… The G Card is the expendable item, in my mind set, as options are out there if I need to.

IM not regretting this set up at all…

Hi Guys,

I have an RTX3090 running with an Intel 10900K CPU and a Samsung G9 Ultrawide monitor.

I’ve been running the most recent BETA version of MSFS for a couple of weeks now that’s due for main release on 23rd August 2022. The inclusion of DLSS in this beta update has made all the difference to frame rates & has really opened up the game to how it always should have been in my opinion. FPS has gone from 25-35fps now upwards towards 80fps with Ultra Settings.

I should add resolution is at 5120x1440… :grinning: :+1:

Hi,
I have a 4090 and never get over 60 FPS. I also suffer extreme FPS Drops after some time flying.
Do you have any ideas for me?
CPU: AMD 5900X
GPU: NVIDIA 4090
RAM: 32GB
I am also using a Samsung G9 Ultrawide Monitor for 5120x1440 resolution.
Thanks and best regards!
