Yes, Crtl-E starts were never a thing with the 530, but until the latest update, loading it running on a helipad wasn’t an issue.

Now, since it causes an engine out hot start, you cannot start flights from helipads.

im with Belatu on this, its completely unusable in many peoples cases, im not uninstalling it as i want to see others in group flights flying it, but i wont purchase from shrike anymore unless its remedied. there shouldn’t be NASA specification timing requirements for starting up a heli in a home pc sim. its taken away my enjoyment of this aircraft and left a bitter taste.. and as months and months have gone by , i don’t see any visible effort in remedying this..or none published anyway. As i mentioned a couple of months ago, the cowansim 500e starts fine. and as of the end of march, it seems the marketplace still hasnt included an update, although i suspect one hasnt been submitted.

It’s only the marketplace version that seems to require the fast user response during startup. I just request a refund for it and am now using v1.0.2 from the dev. which isn’t so sensitive to hot starts. Ideally it would be great of they had a simple EFB with an option to disable this though.
They did acknowledge to me that there are a few issues requiring attention and that it would be a ‘few weeks’ before they could resource these. So I am expecting an update at some point. The Shrike 530 is still a nice and quite stable heli to fly as is.
I’m sure I also recently spawned onto a helipad recently and it started up ok, maybe I got lucky. But just spawn on to an adjacent parking spot instead though. If you want you can “yaw mode” heli over to the helipad.

Can i ask why does this after a few minutes flying does the engine cut out?? Done it twice just after take off.

I tried flying this Helicopter in MSFS 2024. It loads just fine, but my peripherals simply do not work. The throttle binding I have is to my TM Warthog and my collective is also bound to the Warthog (different throttle handle as it is a dual). I would love to fly this more but without at least a functioning collective it is impossible. Has anyone tried this bird in 2024 and gotten it to function normally?
Thanks for any helpful answers-

Same for me - can’t fly it.

Just wondering if everyone else is having issues with the Shrike MD530F in FS2024. It will start, actually better than in FS2020, but the collective does not appear to be functional at all. I have grown to love this ship and really wish it worked in FS24.

Hi

Below is copied from the Blackbird Simulations home page.

When will my BBS/Shrike/MV 2020 products be backwards compatible so I can use them in 2024?

While we are confident that Microsoft and Asobo are working to provide backwards compatibility improvements over the next few updates and hot fixes, as it stands today, none of our products function 100% properly in 2024. Though our teams have been testing our products with a limited beta variant of the sim over the last few months, it was not till the official release version that we could fully grasp what’s required for our products to properly function. Based on our latest assessment, there still remain assets/fixes/improvements we require in order to continue proper compatibility of our entire product lineup.

As we are sure you are aware, many similar statements have been released among the development community and we’re not isolated with the current constraints. What’s required for full functionality from developer to developer within the industry varies significantly. That said, like many development companies, we are in communication with MS & Asobo about this. Until we know more, we cannot guarantee any timeline of when you may use Blackbird products in MSFS 2024.

What we are doing right now:
In the meantime, we have started work on new builds of our 2020 products with the intention of fixing the more egregious issues impacting MSFS 2024 compatibility.

Please bear in mind that our products are varied, and therefore, we do not expect all of them to reach the same level of functionality in 2024 as they have in 2020. Some might work flawlessly, while others may not.

As for timeline: we will go as fast as we can, but we can’t make any statement(s) or promises as to how long this will take. Also, it must be clarified that at this juncture, we are not trying to upgrade our products to take advantage of all the new features in 2024, we are only trying to regain basic functionality so you may get back to enjoying your Blackbird / Shrike aircraft in the new simulator.

We will know more as we work through the issues.

Thanks for your patience.

The BBS team

Hopefully WE will get a armament update for the Xbox Marketplace MSFS 2020 Version…

MSFS2024,
How about copying the MSFS2020 default Bell407 Systems.cfg?

When can we use it in MSFS24 on xbox?

It’s been put into the MS queue. Once it’s in the Marketplace, it should be able to work.

Been flying this in 2024 …very impressed.

Super happy to have this for 2024 now. This is still the most “fun” helicopter to hand fly in the game (including in 2024) - IMO.

Psssst… AH-1W  “W”

I am trying to use this in MSFS 2024 since the latest update. Copied to Community folder, but don’t see it in aircraft lineup. Hmmmm

What AH-1W? We can not be silent anymore? Lol

Have you ‘enabled’ it in your contents folder of 2024?
