64GB Ram / 1300w PSU or Both?

So, I want to upgrade my system with the MSI MEG 1300ai when it is available locally, however I am hesitant about disconnecting and running new cables and stuff, its very overwhelming to think about. Today a sale popped up for 64gb of corsair ram which is a major upgrade for what I currently have. Should I just do one before the other or bite the bullet and do both at the same time? I have zero issues with the sim and am happy with what I currently have, however I am aware of the importance of solid PSU hardware, and I always wanted 64gb ram a year ago.

That’s insane that that’s a sale price on RAM. Thanks, AI jerks.

Get the memory, and if your system is stable, don’t worry about the PSU. 1300W is overkill for most systems. I’m running a good 850W supply with a power-sucking 13900K and 4090, plus multiple SSDs and a hard drive.

If you do get a new power supply (and yeah, swapping in a new power supply is a lot of work), use an online power supply calculator to see what you need (can’t imagine you need 1300W!) and spend the money on a good brand like Corsair, rather than on a big wattage number.

If it’s still on sale I would get the memory. Right now at least that’s a fairly decent price. AI and the off shore stuff created the price bubble.
