I just spent three whole days installing this obnoxiously large piece of software and of course now it won’t work. It crashes immediately after launch. I can’t even get a refund because Steam counts those three days as playtime. Oh, but of course, clicking the X at the top right closes the sim. Of course that works but God forbid the software I paid for functions properly. Can’t wait to see how many Xbox gamers get screwed over in July when they spend a weekend installing the game just for it to crash on the title screen.
Sorry, but this is a problem with your system NOT the sim. MSFS is most certainly not without it’s problems (even really severe ones, for some users) but the issue you describe is NOT one of them.
If you post your system specs and some more details then this community will try to help you resolve your problem.
Been there and it’s frustrating. But what you mention seems to have been somewhat common and TwoSuitz is correct - unfortunately it’s probably something with your system. The trick is finding out what the issue is.
Windows fully updated? When was Windows last installed on your system and if you used original media, how old is that? Have you done a memory test on your system? Running aftermarket antivirus while doing the install? Video card driver version? Have you installed the motherboard drivers?
The bad news is you’re just at the beginning of sorting this out. The good news is there is likely some weird thing blocking you.
