737 Max Issues

I have had a slew of issues with the 737 Max in MSFS 2024. To start, none of the exterior lights work when you spawn in cold and dark. Other aircraft do not have a lighting problem.

Second, the tail number you input on the customization page pre-flight or in the EFB do not show on the plane when you spawn in - it is just a randomized tail number. I tested other aircraft and they all seem to work with the proper tail number.

Third, there is no AI/Assisted check-list making it nearly impossible to go through on Xbox without taking 20-30 minutes to do the checklists since the cursor is very glitchy.

If anyone has had these issues so far let me know if you have found a work around. msfs-2024

Ditto all you observed and adding at Kord 737 max has no pushback at gate

Flown the 737 MAX today, can confirm all of these.
The Lights is a huge Problem for Night Flying!

Also is there an issue with the Air Conditioning / Packs.
I set up the PRESS Panel to 37000 ft and LAND ALT to 50 ft as it should set for my flight from Germany (EDDR Saarbruecken) to Palma de Mallorca (LEPA) and the BLEED OFF Lights came on and the Six Pack announced a Master Caution on the Air Cond.
Seems that the Air Cond System is bugged in that case.

External lights doesnt even work. So cant even fly at night time if you start dark and cold.

How is this even possible. Surely someone must have tried the aircraft at night before release.

Speaking of night time and light, holy sweet baby jebus the bloom effect is blinding.
Im still so confused about how this stuff isnt picked up before release.

May be blinding, but it’s so beautiful that I think it’s a somewhat fair trade off. No corneas for a great view.

Both of the packs don’t work. Having them on drains all the bleed air pressure which means the pressurization doesn’t work. Also when you turn the packs off the pressure instantly jumps to 60+ which isn’t accurate. I’m not sure what the issue is.

EDIT: the pressurization does work but its sketchy.

The autopilot is very aggressive.

The airplane is very “wobbly” in pitch.

The “kneeknocker” trim wheel spins at a bajillion RPMs when you move the elevator trim.

The TOGA switches on the throttles are unclickable.

All of the Flight Displays are excessively bright. At night turned up they wash out everything.

That’s what bothers me the most right now. I made 2 landing attempts so far and both were hideous. I just couldn’t fly a stable approach. Always going up and down with that sluggish controls.

I’ve just flown KJFJ to KBOS, Rwy 33L, & apart from not quite getting the flight plan clean, between the scenario set up & EFB flight plan inputs, I had a very enjoyable flight with a realistic autoland at 33L.
The aircraft sounded authentic on approach as the engine notes rose & fell as the aircraft worked to hold the 145 kts dialed in as the flaps came down, & the flare over the runway perimeter looked correct.
AP LNAV wandered so I flew HDG most of the way, but overall it was a good flight. A lot cleaner than a couple of days ago.

I have also found that you can’t press the middle of the rotary dials that have buttons there, like the STD baro button or the CTR button. Unless I’m missing something? (I’m on PC)

Baro STD was both mouse buttons at once for me. Took me a while to figure out.

I have the same.
All 737max missions are having this issue. which makes them unplayable.
Not sure what the cause is. Feels like a centre of gravity issue.

I’ve seen such sinusoidal motion before on autopilot in 2020 but it was much much slower and only noticeable on max simrate

Some people are getting lucky as hell. I can’t even load in to the plane never mind deal with all the issues. Same with any large aircraft.

I confirm all the problems. No lights work, the mcdu panel only works for the co-pilot. Ejection doesn’t work.

I just tried to start an engine using engine cross bleed and it doesn’t work. You should be able to start one engine with the APU, shut the APU down and use the cross bleed pressure from the running engine to start the other engine. Cant do it in this.

The problem of wobbly of unstable pitch adders many 2024 aircraft.

And don’t forget the tail number on top of the right wing, instead of underneath the left wing. How did this even happen?

You can activate STD, CTR and some other buttons using the right-hand button.
