After flying the PMDG 737 for a while, I decided to try a bigger airliner and tried the default 747-8. I can get systems up and running but the EFB is dark. I can’t get it powered. I first tried completing a cold and dark startup but, even when spawning on the runway with everything powered on by the sim, it is still dark. I see several buttons on the bottom but they do nothing. I’ve looked over the entire EFB and I see no way to power it up.
I don’t think the EFB is simulated in the stock 747-8i
When I Google it, it says that the EFB is simulated, developed by Working Title. I am pretty certain I’ve seen videos as well where it is being used. I only recently installed the plane so it is up to date. It should work.
That could be confusing it for the default sim EFB available in all stock 2024 planes.
The Boeing specific EFB isn’t active, I believe.
They did create a very limited Boeing EFB for the 787-10, but only for basic performance data.
Probably true. I see a “Salty” mod for the 747. Is that still good after SU16? It supposedly adds functionality including a working EFB.
I’m basically looking for a bigger, 4 engine jet that has similar systems (not too big a change to learn…) to the 737.
