747-8 (Freighter+Passenger) engines not starting on Beta 4 latest update ".29"

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: The starters will not engage on 747-8F, so engines will not start. I even went as far as a re-install of FS24 and kept all plain vanilla just to be sure. Nope…

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
On this newest update, it has happened 100 pct.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

From a cold and dark state. All systems then powered up as indicated

  1. Prepare aircraft for engine start: APU running and engaged, fuel pumps on.

  2. Pull starter handle, and click fuel cutoff to “flow” for the appropriate engine.

  3. It should fire and does not. The readings show barely any difference (see screenshot)

  4. Try with autostart. It should fire and does not.

  5. Write it up

Can replicate but using the auto start CTRL+E (passenger+freighter). Did not go through the manual start using the checklist.

Edit: Deleted as we found the problem (user error) below.

APU bleed is off, it used to be auto on

You need to press this now it’s next to the engine bleeds

Just completed the check-list and full engine start on the 747-8. No issues

Confirmed this is it, engines start no problem with APU bleed set “ON.” Not a bug it appears.

And yep, it’s part of the checklist..:slightly_smiling_face:

Moved to User Support Hub as this issue is not a Sim Update 4 Beta | MSFS 2024 regression.

Great there is no issue with the manual startup :+1:.
An issue remains with the auto startup (CTRL+E) but maybe not related to SU4 and also exists in the Live version. See report: 747-8 (Freighter+Passenger) Auto start CTRL+E does not work

Thank you to all who went the step further. I am able to confirm that with the bleed engaged, I was able to start #4, and have no doubt I will be able to get them all fired up. Again, thanks!
