Hi guys, yesterday I was practicing missed approaches with the 747-8. The problem is that I can’t get the aircraft to intercept a VOR radial. What I do is: enter the VOR frequency and the course on the NAV RAD page, turn the upper knob to VOR, and click the LOC button on the autopilot. But nothing happens, the airplane just flies straight. Am I doing something wrong?
Arm and activate approach (APP) before IAF?
App details entered in MCDU?

Ah, no. I meant something else. During the missed approach procedure, I need to intercept a VOR radial. But the aircraft doesn’t intercept it. It just flies straight. I hope I’ve made myself clear now.
Programme missed APP into MCDU before T/O.
TOGA and set target ALT
You already are setting rad/nav and course
Make sure you have pressed VOR/Loc
It should be similar in process to this although this is a 737
