After 2 years the autothrottle is a mess. (with Mod and without) The autothrottle spools up and down when at cruise level, also without any wind, weather(Clear skies), and can not hold a stable speed. Realy Asobo?
Any fixes so far?

I don’t fly the default B747 anymore. If you are on PC, download the latest Salty 747 mod from their GitHub page or Discord server. It is much improved. It’s not perfect, but I fly it often and A/T seems fine.
Yes, the throttle does move around a lot to manage speed, but I think that’s a known quirk of the current flight model which is being rewritten by the Salty team.
I wouldn’t expect any major improvements from Asobo.
Actually, the latest version of the FBW A320 installer now has an option to install the custom modeled Salty 747.
I have installed it but haven’t tried it yet. It may be somewhat better.
