Hi, just wondering if it’s just me that’s having landing gear issues on the 747, am new here but I have been playing the game for a while.

The landing gear won’t deploy, how is that so hard to reply to ? Or am I missing something lol
So I’m guessing you know how to deploy landing gear and all of your key binds are saved. Just double check nothing has deleted a key binding for that command
Yeah I do, I will double check the keys though

Suggest to re-read your initial post. I don’t see anywhere mentioned that the gear doesn’t deploy.
How do you expect anyone to guess that this your problem?
At what speed are you trying to extend the landing gear?
Confirm the landing gear lever is down?
Yes a lot of news bugs on the 787 since the update.
HDR HOLD no longer works for me.

What does the 787 do in a 747 thread, and I thought HDR has something to do with graphics?

The landing gear extend speed is printed near the landing gear lever.
It’s early, I’m in bed, but I think it stated Extended 270K.
I can confirm I cannot extend it at that speed or even a bit slower than that.
I’d had a flight where I was playing around with the AI Pilot, who was on final approach to KSFO in the mid-200K airspeed and the entire time the warning was saying “landing gear”, so I tried toggling it down for the AI and it wouldn’t extend. I turned off the AI Pilot and attempted to toggle it down and it still wouldn’t extend.
Flight ended in a belly landing crash.
I tried the same flight again with a similar result.
I then tried just setting up the flight as arrival at KSFO and having no departure, so the game would place the plane already in a final approach state. Interestingly, the gear was down, flaps extended and IAS was ~180K, which is far slower than what the AI had been doing on the previous flights where it wouldn’t extend.
I hit active pause and raised and lowered the gear successfully multiple times.
I think there has to be something going on with the gear not extending above some speed between 180K and the specified safe extended speed printed next to the lever on the dashboard. In other words, it seems to be out of specification and doesn’t work.

Does the 747 even work in this sim?! Not sure why newbies jump on that plane first, but from the posts I think that’s about the worst one…

I don’t have any significant problems with the 747.
It works, except the landing gear, but if your referring to me about a newbie to the game … am far from it.
That’s good, seemed to have a lot of AP and button issues initially.. I mostly use the FBW A320 and TBM, maybe I’ll give it a shot.
Can’t confirm. Just tested and the gear extends and retracts at speeds up to 270kias.
Above 270kias it’s inhibited.

I’m wondering what was going on when the AI Pilot was flying and I couldn’t get them to extend at below 270K even after toggling off the AI.
No idea. I’ve never used any kind of assistance and/or AI.
And herein is the right attitude.
