During the initial startup of aircraft one should check the operation of flaps and speed brakes (spoilers). In my case the speed brake lever can be pulled up to the “armed” position but cannot be moved forwards or backwards whether by keyboard, joystick or mouse to allowed a visual inspection of their deployment.
