Not sure what the heck is going on with 787 since AAU2. Has become very hit or miss.

Today, the plane started jerking (bucking like a bronco) at FL300. Would no longer respond to altitude overrides and completely ignored the T/D. A/P was on, lnav, vnav and a/t. No idea what the heck was happening. Turned it off, which I never do mid flight. Crazy.

While at FL300, I gave it a FL320 alt intervention and it flew up to FL350 at vs+16000!!! Straight to the moon it seemed. Then it did the same when I tried to bring it back down to FL320. -12000VS and speed limit warnings in the cabin 371 knts I think it was at. Flew right past the FL320 limit and was at FL280 in a matter of seconds.

What the heck is going on with this plane? I’ve flown it over 50 hours and never seen this kind of behaviour. Since AAU2 I’ve done 6, 7 flights and two of them went very poorly due to issues similar to this.

I read somewhere that this could be caused by Fuel load. I activated unlimited fuel and the issue did not reappear. Will continue testing this “fix” with a few more flights.

Anyone else notice any fuel related issues? I usually fill up to the “block fuel” value provided by Simbrief.
