787 Fuel cut-off switches not working

Another one to add to the list, unfortunately. Since SU5 the fuel control switches in the 787 are not selectable. The mouse doesn’t ‘recognise’ then when you hover over them. Tried changing my position in the flight deck and also switching the mouse to legacy mode, still no good. Any ideas folks?

try hoving over the fuel switches and then dont move. As soon as the mouse pointer disappears, move the mouse a fraction until the hand appears and then try again. Make sure you are on the mouse legacy mode.

I meant to say try hovering, not hoving

Having the same issue. Such a weird thing to break from an update.
Really hoping they release a patch within the next week because several other things have broken as well.

same issue.

I have to say that the fuel switches aren’t the only issue with the 787. The overhead panel, and button interactions using a mouse make the plane unflyable. This really is annoying because the 787 was in a very decent state before the update, and I was looking forward to the few fixes it needed. Oh well!

Same issue in the 787, also in the Baron, the Baron you can select them but they don’t move.
I also think this will make an issue with the Caravan.
For now, use ctrl + e unfortunantly thats the only way I found to get it started, unless you bind a controller/joystick button to it then it may work.

Title says it all. 2 hotfixes and this issue is not addressed… very poor management

Just tested. Can’t confirm. Both fuel control switches can be moved with e.g. the mouse.

Cannot confirm here. I made several flights in the 787-10 yesterday afternoon and the fuel cutoff switches worked fine. I do have Legacy mode selected for cockpit controls.

I figured out the solution.

Step 1. Delete your community folder (make sure you backup your files).
Step 2. Run the simulator and start 787. You will notice the duel cut off switch are working now.
Step 3. Close the simulator and copy back the files in your community folder and restart the sim. It should work. Works for me.

I don’t have any content in the community folder, never have, yet I have same issue being reported here too since SU5. In 787, HUD, autobrake, fuel cutoff switches and battery main switch cannot be selected and used. In Cessna 172 SP the center nav display is black and cannot be turned on and fuel selector valve is stuck on the left tank and cannot be selected/changed.

All switches and the HUD are working on my install.
The stuck fuel selector on the 172 is an indication that your premium deluxe install is faulty/incomplete.

I had the same problem. I had to re-install the premium deluxe package to fix this problem.

Hey I had this issue too, check your content manager, my deluxe & premium packages were outdated and required updating. After downloading those I was good to go again

Thanks guys. This advice was bang on the money. I had total of 7 updates waiting in the content manager including deluxe and premium deluxe updates. All is good now with 787. Even noticed my loading time after hitting FLY was considerably faster.

Had the same issues with C152/172, pretty much every other aircraft. This fixed it, thank you so much!
