787 not working - missing screens, inoperable buttons and garbled displays

I recently posted this issue as a bug here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/787-10-is-not-fully-functional-missing-eicas-displays-and-garbled-lower-console-displays/566548?u=danzona69

I’d like to get some help from this forum if possible, since there has been no response on the bug report post. Thanks for any ideas that can help me solve this issue!

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No, no changes have been made.

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?

Yes. Although I have access to the Heavy Division mod, it is currently NOT installed.

Brief description of the issue:

In the 787-10 cockpit, when I start from cold/dark, I switch on the battery and the 3 external power generators, but get only “INFO INOP” on both my secondary EICAS screens. In addition, the MCP has no digital readout and I cannot set altitude or other parameters. I have also gone into the Microsoft Store, and the Premium Deluxe Edition shows that it was purchased in Dec 2020, but has the Cloud Download icon, as if it has not been installed, even though the content IS available in the game’s content manager.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

This is the situation I have encountered every time with the 787-10 - just from starting the sim normally, and loading up the 787-10 with any available livery.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Not relevant, the plane worked prior to the last 2 updates

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

1.29.30.0

I assume you aren’t using any 787 improvement mods.
If not, I would suspect that you have a mod conflict somewhere.
To prove that, you can start the sim in “safe mode”.
That loads the sim without using anything in the Community Folder, or any addons from the Marketplace.
If the 787 is Ok then, you will need to figure out what mod (or mods) cause the issue.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

yes, same problem.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

just started using with AAU2

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Try deleting the 787 folder in Packages and restart the sim. Reinstall using Content Manager.

Hey, I have a question cuz I just started playing msfs and I have no idea how to turn all these inoperative buttons on. I noticed that some youtubers have them all and can easily use buttons like fire test etc. but it doesn’t work in my game.

They might be using different versions of the same a/c from 3rd party developers. The default A320 for instance is very basic and does have many inoperative buttons. The new Inibuilds A320N V2 released today free as part of SU15 is more complex. There is also a Fenix A320 CEO which is very complex and there are many YouTubers using this version so maybe that’s what you’ve seen.

Btw what are these green lights around the aircraft?

Looks like the Nvidia coolant is leaking
