A brief stutter occurs periodically every 3 seconds

I feel that there will be a brief stutter periodically in 2024, every 3 seconds
I have closed all useless software processes
I use COWS DA42, i7-12700, and RTX 3070ti
I don’t know why, did I set something wrong?

Try.
Turn off Nvidia DLSS Frame Generation.

I also have hevy stuters on AMD 7950X3D 64Gb RAM and 4090.
Turning off dlss FG should not be the solution.

What is your NVIDIA Driver Version ?

I also have this issue. On the fps debug you can clearly see it exactly every 3 seconds spike. Even causes audio stutter on my end. 4090 7800x3d 64gb memory 4k FG ON v-sync 60hz however had this same issue on my 2k 144hz g-sync monitor also. And on the 3 latest Nvidia drivers issue persists.

Could be an issue with a USB device, a test would be to disconnect all USB except mouse/keyboard.

After testing this it does initially appear it potentially may be my Corsair wireless headset. Very strange it doesn’t happen in 2020

During the FPS stuttering process, there was no significant increase in the utilization of the graphics card and CPU. If all USBs were disconnected, my joystick would be unusable.
The Nvidia app and drivers are both the latest versions. Is it because the operating system and graphics card drivers are incompatible?

Have you recently installed the DLSS4 update? If so, completely uninstall it and do not reinstall it for a few months, as NVIDIA is currently releasing testing updates, and their drivers are not yet stable enough. For DLSS4, wait for the sim update 2.

What is loaded in the background on your system? It could also be some Caching issue.

You can also use something like ProcessMonitor to see if there are any read or write activities going on.

I solved rolling back nvidia deivers. The latest iteration was causing issues in both 2024 and 2020 on my system 7800X3D + 4090

I’ve had that kind of stuttering caused by SPAD once or twice before. Relaunching it would fix it.

The latest iteration means not much, what version was it? 572.47 is the latest driver and i’m using that with no problem at all.
