A Calculated misstep?

Having played this post VR beta, i had a thought occur to me. I apologize if this becomes unpopular. Lets keep it civil please?

Is it possible that by “optimizing” the game for WMR headsets, they put out say…90% of VR users on Vive, Index and Oculus Headsets (and that’s being generous to WMR users existing and new). OpenXR was supposed to bridge the platform between all the headsets right? I’ll admit i had some hopes for it.

All these people with top of the line computers brought to their knees. I don’t want to stir the pot. Not trying to stir the pot. We all know this is upsetting. That we can agree on yeah? Lets leave it at that. We can also agree that one person is not everyone. Some people are enjoying it just fine and others are are going back to xplane, aerofly etc. Their choice. No judgement from me. Myself am quite cozy. it’s pushing my tolerance for motion sickness sure, but i managed about 1.5hr in the air in an a320 (vanilla) before my whole computer died (too much strain on the background probably or OC overheat. One of the two). *results my vary

So, should the next patch be geared towards the rest of us not using WMR headsets? I’m no techie but to me they would need to go the Onward route and dumb the graphics settings for “all” VR users (whatever that means) then work on improving graphics platform-wide. Think of it as building up the weak vs weeding them out

IDK. Maybe just some stoned thoughts of a casual tubeliner pilot. What do you think?
