I was trying to play MSFS 2020 on my New Xbox series S, and it’s impossible to play it. I have to play on Xbox cloud, but obviously it’s not the same.
I’m able to play MSFS 2024 without any problem.

If you are switching between the xCloud gaming version of MSFS and the Series S/X version often, it can result in a corrupted cloud save profile. Are you crashing at the “Press Any Key” portion of loading on your Series S/X? If so, delete the cloud save file on the console to resolve this issue. Going forward, try to use MSFS on the Series S without switching back and forth to xCloud gaming.
You may need to reset your cloud save to fix issues caused by corrupted saves or profiles. Close out of MSFS fully on the console (make sure “quick resume” is not enabled or this may not work correctly.
Warning: Deleting the cloud save will wipe your logbook permanently as well as custom control profiles and settings. You will not lose the achievements already unlocked on this profile but progression towards achievements and the logbook information cannot be recovered.
