A humble "thank you" for Asobo and MS flight sim team

This sim is golden! Still things to be fixed (friction on ground please:), but incredible sim.

Thank you for the best Default Cessna 172 in the sim-world. (Better than most old paywares)

Thank you for listening to the audience

Thank you for not giving up

Thank you for bunch of cool planes and stuff coming in the future

Thank you.

Agreed!
I’ve really been enjoying the visual thermals. After imagining them for 70+ years it cool to see an interpration of them.

I just need Microsoft to not pull the plug. They did it to us once.

But I find the default C152 and C172 and the ‘Virus’ to be really well done aircraft and there are tons and tons and tons of very realistic and beautiful places to fly and still we have more coming.

I have my complaints but I got my moneys worth
so long as the sim sticks around.

It’s a HISTORIC, paradigm shifting achievement that has no peers.

You are GIANTS.

Agreed. I was so disappointed when MS announced that there would be no FX11 after FSX had dropped. I did consider swtiching to X-Plane, but I had played it before and thought it was dog. I was very happy when FS2020 was announced.

and not to forget the whole Games For Windows Live debacle

to be fair, MS Flight was doomed from the get go with a nearly entirely DLC-based model. I mean one plane and just the big island of Hawaii? Cmon man

But after 40 years of flight sim, hard to imagine what another 40 years will look like. Am i gonna get to phase into a virtual cockpit from the physical world or

It is great escapism. We have all had those moments during virtual flying when we see the visuals and think “Wow this i just so awesome!”

A 1:1 Planet Earth shoved down the internet to our PCs and Xboxes - iIts an amazing technical achievement.

So yes, thanks to MiSobo and all the clever clever people behind MSFS

Yeah impossible to imagine. Got to think we are reaching a plateau.

More processing power and better AI. Higher def sat imagery so the “better AI” can do more stuff with it (walking people with actual routes they follow from home to work to shop to home). Cars / trucks that have real routes and proper “steering” not glitching and bouncing back and forth on single roads like they can do now. Street furniture in high detail (traffic lights, signs, advertising, bus stops, fences, post boxes and everything else) but you ain’t seeing any of that from 5k ft!

It all relies on having that global data though so may never happen to that level. And developer time to implement any more accurate physics etc so the profit needs to be there. Will be interesting to look back on this chat in 40 years and go “of course, how couldn’t they see THIS happening, it’s so obvious that it would” but it’s not obvious to me now!

Agreed!
I have great pleasure with this sim, it’s incredible!! and this community is always of good help and tips
Well done Asobo! and thanks to all

i mean we laugh about the graphics and games of days yonder but 40 years from now, they’ll be laughing at us 40 years in the past for how primitive our video games were

Definitely laugh at the melted buildings

Yeh right! “The post box on my street has the wrong collection time on the sign!! It was 15:30 in 2061
they changed it to 16:30 since December stupid devs!!”

I don’t believe so. Personally, I will not be here to see it, but probably something along the line of Holographics, where you will be able to land your aircraft and walk into the scenery. How’s that grab ya?

Yeah maybe this is the step! Proper stereoscopic 3D without the silly headgear

And in full colour, not like Star Wars R2D2 — green lines only! Good for trees and grass but I don’t think the Grand Canyon in green will really work!

It would be nice to see my friends flying those aircraft without having to purchase the DLC myself. Can’t we have an option to download limited/visual assets for planes we don’t own? If my buddy has a raptor I want to see that raptor zooming past me
not some 737 going Mach 2.
