Hello, IRL SF50 owner and operator here. I have been flying the Vision Jet for about 5 years now and I can offer you this list of minor annoyances and known problems with the Vision Jet, that if simulated in FS2024, would add just a touch of realistic flavor to flying the Vision Jet. It’s important to note that these are not problems specific to my aircraft, but known problems across the fleet that Cirrus has yet to address.
FUEL IMBALANCE
cautions in the 90–110 gal range
When there’s somewhere around 90–110 gal left total (45–55 gal each tank), the left and right fuel senders tend to indicate a significant (5–15 gal) difference in quantity, causing this caution to appear. It goes away when fuel remaining dips below 90 gal. This is prevalent across the fleet, and happens on virtually every flight.
FCV 1/2 FAIL
cautions on boot
About one in 10 startups, for whatever reason, FCV 1 or 2 fails to pass checks and pops this caution message. This happens after turning on BAT1. The fix is to simply turn the fuel selector out of BOTH to either LEFT or RIGHT, and force the FCV to reinitialize, then move it back to BOTH.
IPS ENG/STAB FAIL
cautions during start
Sometimes, during the start sequence, this caution appears during spool-up (with an audible ding). It goes away when startup is complete.
FADEC NO DISPATCH
cautions in heavy rain
In heavy rain, the FADEC will revert to an alternate mode and you will lose thrust indications and protections, and have to fly using N1 and EGT. Turning on the engine anti-ice helps but does not prevent this problem.
CORONA in heavy rain
The static wicks on the Vision Jet are pretty terrible, and radio reception is difficult in heavy rain. The radios will squeal intermittently making it hard to hear ATC. I doubt this is simulatable in FS2024, but just FYI.
