A simple hack to improve the HC Bravo switch labeling

I was getting tired of trying to remember what the SPAD.NExT switch assignments were for my different aircraft. The Bonanza has a cowl flap, others do not. Some planes have a manual fuel valve switch, some don’t. Some (like the Sting S4) don’t have a parking brake. Etc…

It’s kind of silly, because I have a Stream Deck XL. But I like the physical switches on the Bravo. Feels more ‘realistic’ to me.

So I bought these items. The metal tape sticks to the space above the switches, and the magnetic label holders stick to the metal tape and are both sturdy and easily removable. Both the metal tape and the label holders are easily cut with a decent scissors.

12mm (~1/2") label tape stuck to the removable paper insert in the magnet completes the task. The 12mm labels are soooo close to the right width, but I did have to slightly trim the long edge to fit.

Nice - I’ve been using blue tack but this looks much better. Where is the red lighting coming from in your pics? Is that an LED strip above the Bravo (it looks like the Bravo is mounted under desk)? Looks like it is shining upwards through the labels though in the second picture.

The LED strips are an option included with the under-desk mounts. They shine down from the front of the mount. In case you wondered, I bought the mounts here.
