A thank you to “El Jefe” Jorge Nuevoman

Jefe.

I want to say thank you. Your work has been incredible over the last 6-8 years, breathing life into this fantastic project. You don’t know this, but I started a flight simulator in 2003. It changed my life back then. It gave me purpose and a reason to fight poverty, figure out how to build PCs, and have a constant drive to fly. To this day, I continue that journey.

Like you, some of us occasionally have had difficulties in our lives. Whether professional or personal, your contributions to this hobby that I call a passion have been my refuge for the last twenty years. Now, on the eve of the release of the next generation, I say to you, sir, “Thank you.”

Thank you, and to the hardworking men and women of the FS enterprise team. You go to work every day to create something special. Please know that sometimes you touch our lives in more ways than just virtual flight time. It’s also what happens after I shut down my PC.

Keep up the excellent work.

Thank you Jorge! :metal:

Thanks to all of YOU for being the best community! Without your continued support and feedback over the years, Microsoft Flight Simulator would not be the same.

Here’s to the next chapter. We can’t wait to share MSFS 2024 with you all in just a few hours!

So dont wait! Deliver it now!!

Even if they (unfortunately) get some “critics” sometimes, from over 20+ years of experience in Flightsimming, i can only say that we all are very lucky to have such a skilled and passionate developer-Team at Asobo, and such a passionate head of Flightsim with Jorg.

In all these years/decades, i havent had such a great experience in simming!
We all know the sim isnt perfect. Will it ever be “perfect”? Probably not…

But they do the best they can and are so including and made one of the biggest, technically advanced “games” in history, they turned a nerdy niche into a Mainstream Product!

And thanks goes to Microsoft, for paying for all that and more or less letting Jorg do what he wants to do, for US! Big Love, im enjoying the journey, and im excited for a new journey, starting in a few hours, with all of you! :love_you_gesture: :two_hearts:

His hometown Offenburg will have a statue of Jörg Neumann, one day.
