A2A Comanche 250 is on its way! (Released! July 2023)

Hopefully that includes fuel quantity management too.

Anyone else have their aircraft data reset? I had 2.2 hours on the tach so far and when I loaded it up just now all my settings were reset and it was back to 0.0.

Edit nevermind it was my own mistake.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know how to dip the tanks? Also, I cant seem to drain fuel from the main tanks. It works on the tip tanks, but whenever I push the strainer up into the wing on the main tanks, no fuel comes out. (Yes I did open the little door thingy)

Oh give it a rest already making bold claims like most users are not bothered at having to use a mouse. We can discuss this as we have been but there is no need to have that attitude.

Make sure the fuel valves are turn on.

Ah yes, I knew this was coming.

Pro tip: if you have to resort to calling people “fanboys” who disagree with the way you want to play the game, you’ve lost the argument, right then and there.

Another pro-tip: there are plenty of dedicated, “full-real” players out there who are quite content with using their mouse cursor to flip switches. It doesn’t suddenly make them into a lower class of consumer just because they don’t meet someone else’s standards.

Fly the game you want to play it, and don’t be bothered with the way other people choose to play it. The last thing this title needs is snobs telling people they are fanboys or any other derogative term just because they don’t have the spitting image of a Cessna in their living room.

Serious question: do you read flight sim forums other than the one here? There are lots of players out there who aren’t bothered in the least by having to use a mouse cursor to manipulate controls in a cockpit. In my case, it’s because my rig pulls double duty both for MSFS and for combat flight simming with IL2. For others, it’s DCS which (wait for it) prides itself on having clickpits. :astonished: And those guys are as picky about realism as you’re going to find.

Dedicated cockpit hardware is very limiting because it basically teaches users to fly every aircraft the same regardless of what the actual cockpit layout or controls are in the aircraft. It is only actually realistic if a cockpit has been built that exactly emulates the aircraft in sim.

However it is fair enough that many people like it and feel it gives them “immersion” even if they are flying a military trainer or some such with a physical airbus cockpit layout or partial cessna cockpit.

There is no right or wrong, neither is “better”.

HOWEVER this whole thread has gone way off topic. The discussion needs to be moved to it’s own thread.

Note the notice: If you have an unrelated issue, please start a new topic instead.

If anyone has both the Comanche and MadDog installed, please describe if you are having any issues… and is there a solution at this point?

It’s like playing Physical Elite Dangerous! :joy:

It seems like the last few posts are veering off-topic, so this is a reminder to cut back on the back and forth and stick to the discussion at hand.

The only issue reported so far is that one of the addons corrupts exe.xml file, which prevents A2A program to start with the simulator. You can still launch A2A program manually and there are no further issues when flying in the sim.

It is not exactly clear which addon causes that, its been reported that it happens if you install the Maddog after installing Fenix A320. But it does not happen on every system, I have both of them installed and no issues in exe.xml.

How exactly does the update process for this plane work?
Does A2A send out an email to the buyers once a new version is available?

This is my first purchase from A2A so this might be a silly question but I would appreciate if somebody could let me know. Thanks!

I mapped the battery to a push button until they fix it on my Bravo Throttle. Most of the autopilot buttons aren’t used for this autopilot, so they are available for mapping.

I’m such a nerd lol. Right now in my life I don’t have a lot of time to fly, but I’ve bought the plane and am making myself (digital) flashcards so I can learn as much as I can about the aircraft, its operating limitations, dimensions, weight etc and still immerse myself.

It’s almost like I own a real plane that I’m too busy to fly

I’ve spent almost 4 hours in the cockpit, and have barely turned on the battery, just learning where everything is, doing a walkaround, mapping controls, etc

NF4 doesnt work either

It’s probably me …but have a terrible proble with the brakes …or more specifically releasing them!
If I spor ready for take off…no problem, but if starting from cold and dark they seem to be stuck on and no amount of handbrake lever / rudder pedal action will un lock them! …any advice?

Are you certain you haven’t left he parking brake on?

Push both toe brakes in, and hold, when pushing the parking brake off.

It installs an app called Check for Updates… and if you run it, it will check if there is an update available and will automatically download and install it for you.

Definately the parking is selected off…and tried the toe brake thing…
…I will need to do some more trials I think!
