Is the latest update coming to ORBX anytime soon?
Ditto, be great to know if/when the latest update will be sent to MSstore, e.g.
Feels like the MSstore version is left behind, think i’m on 1.6.2, I know Microsoft can take their sweet time processing updates, but would be great to though its been sent or when.
Doesn’t look like the latest update hit the MSstore this week according the August 7th developer update. I just would like to know if 1.6.5 has been sent to 3rd party stores. Sorry if I missed it.
Sometimes no answer is also an answer.
(Orbx doesn’t have it either)
1.6.5 is available from Just Flight.
Haven’t flown this plane for a few years and just noticed there was now an installer for MSFS 2024.
All installed OK and I’ve had a quick fly around for an hour or so and everything seems OK.
But I seem to remember there was a background program that had an Icon in my tasbar (think it was to do with the Accusim 2 program) I don’t see this anymore in MSFS 2024 is it not required now?
Correct. It was removed.
I’d forgotten how good this plane was, really enjoying it again in MSFS 2024 now.
Just one minor annoyance, is it possible to change the front seat passenger. Whatever I select in the MSFS settings I get the brunette lady and unfortunatley she reminds me of my ex wife. I want to swap her out for a better model, is that possible?
I had my first ever carby icing in the sim in this aircraft recently, I was entering the circuit when it started and I was literally skimming the tree tops before I figured out what was going on and took corrective action.
I have had it happen once some time ago, is there certain weather conditions carb ice can or will occur?
Thanks, so basically it can happen at any temperature and generally with high humidity.
Ive never noticed or really checked but does the sim give the humidity reading anywhere like on world map?
Yep, dew point 10°C everywhere. Just listed to any ATIS.
I had some carb icing on a world tour flight over South Argentina yesterday at 3,500 feet and temperatures above freezing. At first I didn’t notice, because the headphone simulation drowned out the engine sound. I repeatedly kept getting out of trim warnings from the autopilot. But that can happen with downdrafts, so I didn’t realize immediately what was going on. A couple of minutes later I noticed a distinct nose up attitude. A scan of the instruments and there it was clear as day: low MP, low RPM and an airspeed of 120 and falling. I turned on the carb heat right away and the power was restored shortly after.
Lesson learned: scan the instruments regularly in shorter intervalls.
This was fixed in MSFS2024
Good to know, because it hasn’t been fixed in 2020.
Today I installed the Comanche in 2024 using the MSFS 2024 Edition installer V1.6.5. Still, it shows the MSFS2020 label.
It’s still a 2020 aircraft.
Of course it does. The Comanche is only FS2024 compatible at this point, not a FS2024 native aircraft.
Lucky you. Our forum code of conduct wouldn’t allow me to express my true feelings about the fact that Orbx customers still didn’t get anything, so I will leave it as that
