A2A Comanche gear switch - How?

I am building a throttle box (at this moment Cessna style with an vernier function and would like to use this for the A2A Comanche. The knobs and order will be changed to match the Comanche.

The Comanche has a gear switch up-off-down. When you switch during retraction/extension the switch to off in the virtual cockpit, the gear movement stops (the gear can be half extended). I would like to simulate this also with with my hardware solution, which also has for this purpose a on-off-on switch. The switches are connected to the sim via an Arduino Pro Micro acting as a HID.

MSFS2020 only has the option to either move the gear to the up or down position. Moving the switch to the “off” position during movement, does not stop the movement mid-way.

I already use MS2020TA to drive the gear indicator lights by reading the position of the 3 landing gear struts and changing the RGB leds accordingly.

Any suggestions how I can achieve this without software like spad.next or Mobiflight?

Is there an option for this in their Input Configurator program? I’m not at home to check, but without SPAD or the like, you may have no other options.

Thank you for hinting me in the direction of the configurator program. I can assign keyboard strokes to the 3 statusses (up-neutral-down) and program the Arduino to act on these.

I have solved this now with Mobiflight and two discrete LED’s (as in the Comanche). It was a bit of a learning to start with Mobiflight.
Mobiflight is great and incredible software and I abandoned spad.next.

I had the same experience, Mobiflight is so lightweight and easy to use , I love it .

Btw , has your throttlebox a vernier mechanism? Just beautiful

Yes, has a vernier function on the throttle and prop pitch. I made a revision of this box to match the Piper Comanche. I will post a picture as soon as I am home from a trip.

Would you like to share some informations about the mechanism and how you made it? I’m working on a vernier mechanism too at the moment (a vernier assist) and it could help me

I used this design with some small changes (closer tolerances).https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4606456

This is the revised box.
