Which aircraft are you reporting an issue about? (Please also add the proper tag for it)

A310-300

Brief description of the issue:

The A310 cockpit model seems to have an incorrectly modeled eye position indicator / eye position reference / eye level indicator / eye reference indicator / seat height indicator. All 3 balls are on the same plane while the center ball should be recessed, so that camera/eye position can be adjusted until it’s hidden behind an edge ball.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Move camera around cockpit, note that the eye reference indicator is not helpful in indicating the correct seating position. Check the Airbus a320 and the CJ4 for examples of a functional eye reference indicator.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

1.33.8, current version of A310 as of august 30th 2023

I’ll be honest with you, I doubt that the pilot sits at design eye in any MSFS aircraft.

My impression is always that the base eye height is lower in MSFS in order to allow you to see the instrument panel without the need for some sort of peripheral like TrackIR, VR, etc.

Thus you have all the wacky views like Landing view and IFR view, all of which move your head around in ways that you never do in the airplane.

So I imagine that this gauge is just applied to the model for cosmetic purposes.

FWIW. :slightly_smiling_face:

Probably correct, and not expecting any high priority fix for this, but I find the eye position indicators very useful in the sim to get consistent views for landing, especially with head trackers and in VR.
