A310 Overhead Panel Button Click Hitboxes Reduced

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
After updating to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 SU5 Beta 1.7.7.0, the built-in first-party A310 has an issue where the click/interaction hitboxes on the overhead panel appear smaller than before.
Buttons on the overhead only activate reliably when I click near the relative center of the button. Clicking closer to the edges—where it used to work—often does nothing.

When I roll back to SU4 public release, the same buttons behave normally again (the clickable area feels correct and is much easier to interact with).

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you?
Every time / 100% reproducible on SU5 Beta
Not reproducible on SU4 public release (works as expected).

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Update to MSFS 2024 SU5 Beta.

  2. To reproduce easily, go to Career Mode.

  3. Find an Airline mission with A310.

  4. Start the mission and enter the cockpit.

  5. Once in the cockpit, stay in the default cockpit view.

  6. Move the camera up to focus on the Overhead Panel → Electrical area.

  7. Attempt to turn on the three Battery buttons.

  8. Observe the difference:

    • SU4 public release: Clicking anywhere on the button face (including near edges) reliably activates the button and connects the batteries.

    • SU5 Beta: From a very similar camera distance/angle, I must click closer to the button’s center to activate it; clicks near the edges frequently do not register.

Regression check: Rolling back from SU5 Beta to SU4 public and repeating the exact same steps removes the issue.

  • Interaction settings: I have not changed any options related to button selection, such as misclick prevention, dead zones, etc.

  1. SU5 Beta recording showing the overhead buttons, for example, the batteries buttons only activate when clicking near the center.

  2. SU4 public recording showing normal behavior (all buttons and switches activate reliably across the whole button surface).
