[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

I would like an A340 personally. Weird and rare, which is interesting.

And capable of ultra-long hauls which is interesting.
A 220 would be also very interesting, a plane that is modern and practically doesn’t exist in the sim world.

Excited with the news, I hope it could be an Airbus personally. An A330 or A350 would be great.
Maybe A380? OMG that will be insane.

They talk to dozens of IRL A320 pilots, I’m sure you could come and chip in your experience.

You should probably consider that work might have started on it with the launch of the sim, before anyone knew FBW would have turned into the brilliant group they are today. Having paid devs that started work etc, may have put them in a position where they just couldn’t cancel it, without recouping some costs. Personally, while I would have liked something else as we have a great Neo, no one is currently developing an a320 ceo, so technically its different, and as a new player in the scene, ill like to give them a fair chance to see what they can bring to the table now and for their future products. We as customers, will have choices of freeware or payware which is nice, so I wish them nothing but the best and will be willing to show support once the quality is there, to encourage future products. (assuming it even really is an a320 ceo)

Whist the FBW is good (as its all we have at the moment) the FSL A320 would just take the FBW out of the water. Not knocking what FBW have done BUT when you compare the likes of FSL to anything else it just knocks all others out the ballpark

this project smells like an airbus widebody, i hope it’s going to be a 737 classic or NG

I actually have a guess that it’s a Boeing 767. It seems like a plane nobody has claimed in the major developers and it’s not a plane people think of first. Though I guess we will have to wait and see.

I really hope so!

Don’t do that to me, now I can’t stop hoping it will indeed be a 767

I have a feeling it’s an A380 when brought up it’s not been ruled out, just the fact that this is a new project and not a previous development attempt.

So who knows as yet what this airliner will be. I was tempted by the DC6, but (with apologies to those who love it), for me it’s just too old school, I’d prefer a more ‘contemporary’ bird.
I’ll throw my hat in with a 757, because why not? :grinning:

The many topics on the forums about what ‘study level’ means to people always brings interesting dialog. To me, ‘study level’ would be high fidelity, really deep levels of systems, and contemporary aircraft that you can use to train on, and keep current IRL.

I’ll look forward to it’s announcement, hopefully real soon, and it’s release, and I do hope not to be disappointed myself. And for The Flying Fabio to maybe get into it real deep as he has a notion to, that would be cool :slightly_smiling_face:

One thing is certain, 2021 is really shaping up to be a bumper year for MSFS!

Study level really for me is just 99% of the switches work with nearly full system functionality, it’s always really been a term to refer to the degree of completeness of a simulation as opposed to prescribing the product any formal training utility.

Yeah, agree with you there. I think my term ‘train’ isn’t right, really. Probably more like ‘keep exercising the already trained and ingrained muscle memory’ for procedures and the likes.

You should really give the DC6 a shot. It’s an awesome airplane. I thought I’d be bored with it too. I never got into the old planes on FSX like the DC3. Always made me yawn, but this thing is legit. They did it right. And it’s a challange. Keeps me on my feet throughout the whole flight. It’s a lot of fun on vatsim too.

There’s already a good looking and promising A220 in the works by Synaptic simulations

Yep there is a A350 freeware in the works by Digital Flight Dynamics, you can see our progress here  https://discord.gg/er78z4CsrR

Why not if I may ask?
