Just noticed that tit seems not only contrails, in wet runway the water trails during takeoff is gone also?
I haven’t noticed that as I’m too busy inside the cockpit during take-off’s to switch to the external view. But that’s surely another let down to @GamingCat2130
What is a let down? The missing contrails and water splashes?
So far only XP12 has superb water splashes on the gear as seen in many promotion videos, but it is impossible to take-off in external view. Only while taxiing such eye candy can be admired
And the contrails will be added with the next patch.
There are only four let downs:
1.) no Fenix A350
2.) no Fenix A330
3.) no Fenix A320 Freighter/Cargo P2F version
4.) RAT has 3000 instead of 2500 psi ;D
Ah by the way, seeing this NY to Halifax video reminds me of one visual bug the Flight Sim 2020 has: The rain effects on the glass are so superb but many times it is “raining upwards”.
The raindrops are flowing upwards on the parked airplane instead of flowing down the windshield like they should. This looks so wrong breaks the immersion. This should be patched to have the raindrops always flow downwards on the windscreen while the plane is parked to make these otherwise perfect raindrops on glass realistic.
No Fenix A380 and no Fenix Beluga
I’m pretty sure FBW A380 will be quite a good substitute.
Part of the letdown comes from the fact the older build have these where the latest patch removed the contrail and water splashes… hope it will come back soon
Maybe you did not fill in the takeoff weight and center of gravity on the init-2 page?
Just guessing.
What did I just read - a new “Tuning” option appeared in the maintenance section.
AWESOME!
Hmmm tuning… I wonder what this will modify.
Soon we will get OZ-rims with carbon brakes and custom-coloured brake calipers, chrome brake fan wheelspinners for the gear, lowered gear dampers (lower and stiffer than the 737!) Sparco carbon seats inside the cockpit, LED-lights with 12000 Kelvin colour tone, and a custom-gaming-PC for every lesser used LCD-screens in the cockpit.
Full Gameboy emulator on the MCDU, tinted cockpit sidewindows, the rear seats (cabin seats) removed and a giant Kenwood subwoofer placed in the middle of the cabin, and a NOS-bottle instead of the fire extinguisher bottle.
My ideas for tuning the Airbus would be endless.
Thanks Fenix for pimping my Airbus!
P.S.
Can we please get custom airbrushes all over the cockpit and the glareshield with skulls and gothic and biker stuff, and dimmable LED-rings for the nose wheel gear lights - for pure nostalgic reasons only because flying an airbrushed Fenix reminds me of my first Ford.
Sadly not sure that’s a new ‘feature’ as Dave stated that this was an accident, used for testers.
So I expect this to disappear in the next update.
Any idea where the COM3 box is (if indeed it exists) and how I can detune it? As far as I can see it doesn’t exist, which is a bit of a problem.
Flying this aircraft around the Bay Area is almost impossible as the default tuned frequency on COM3 for the in-game ATC is 124.850, as it is on every radio on every aircraft in the sim. This just happens to be the Salinas ATIS frequency and, once airborne in this particular area this ATIS just plays on a relentless loop. It goes without saying that VHF3 is deselected on the tuning panel.
I believe this is a long standing FS issue (why not just make the default tuning 121.500 or 123.45?!) but from what I can see there is no way at all to detune this box on the Fenix.
Any ideas?
So no chrome wheels and chrome turbine exhaust and carbon racing seats coming with the next update…
But maybe the IAE-engines!
By the way yesterday I have noticed something strange. On the radio the frequency can only be changed in five unit steps and in a very small bandwith, which means it was impossible to tune in both ATIS frequencies of Cologne-Bonn EDDK airport (112.15 and 132.13) in the Fenix. Just because the radio tune knob cannot be turned to that frequency.
Is this on purpose? Why is it not possible to tune the radio frequency wheel in one unit steps like a real radio would?
Not near a computer right now but isn’t it on the copilot side overhead panel in the Airbus?
That’s what I thought. It’s normally set to data and de-tuning it or putting in a different frequency doesn’t have any effect on ‘COMM3’ in the sim.
I suspect it’s a very specific unintended bug/interaction between the sim and the aircraft.
another video for my ruthless flights… any idea if the FLS is malfunctioning or if it’s the toronto city airport issue?
Just did 5 approaches at LOWS RW33, by flys ILS RW15, levels off at 2500, TRK 130 at SI then circles to RW33 to land (standard RW33 procedures), every single time when final turn to 33, triggers the “speed speed” warning and AP disconnects itself. Also encountered speed warning on final approach at LFMP few days ago in a gusty weather. To be frank, I prefer the way Fenix flys before SU10, never had the some weird issue. So many little things add up and doesn’t feel right. One other thing hard to bear is FLAPS 3 now really causes a very dramatic nose down maneuver, sometimes even into negative pitch.
did you set the approach wind and temperature in the perf page? if in gusty condition should set the max gust as wind speed, the Vref should be adjusted accordingly to not trigger the speed warning, I love to fly in very gusty destinations and this helps.
If you don’t do this it will just assume it’s clam wind and the gust wind speed difference could drop you to stall
Of course I did, and the last time I disconnect the ATHR before the final turn to RW33, AP still disconnected itself in the turn. Probably you can try the same approach to see if it works. BTW the last turn was with AP1 on and using TRK heading mode to go to runway heading 333, and a 3.0 descend degrees.
In the Fenix V2 the wing root can be choosen, from Airbusses before and after 2010.
The Fenix is truly the greatest blessing that was ever programmed I can´t imagine a live without my Fenix anymore! Can you?
hello…after the last update I’m having problems taking off! levers in (FLX/MCT) when the screen tells me to put the levers in (CL) I move the lever to CL! the speed is at 170 or 180 I still haven’t retracted the flaps because it hasn’t reached the green (S) on the screen and the plane starts to lose speed and deactivates the autopilot… what is the cause of this problem? I didn’t have it before
Take-off always in TOGA setting please The flex-temp is protecting the turbines and most of the time thrust cannot go beyong 89-91% anyway.
