It didnt change for me. I spoke to the support team over at Fenix and they said icing effect is required to be turned off in the assistance menu
With last update either to the sim or the fenix. My pfd and nd seem to be stuttering, anyone else had this issue or know a fix?
I had the issue with stuttering displays during flights and I got rid of it by switching the “Render displays on” option to CPU.
Selecting CPU did decrease my FPS at airports a bit but the displays are now not stuttering anymore during flight.

Yeah I have it set to cpu currently. Might try a reinstall of the fenix see if it helps
I understand that their is no way to import an external flight plan into the Fenix through Little Nav Map is that correct?

Hi all, quite new to the Fenix but managed a couple of sucessfull flights but just recently I’m having problems with the autopilot just disconnecting at random times. I’m on PC using Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and xbox controller for cameras. Is this a known fault or maybe I’m doing something wrong. I’ve setup good dead zones so not sure it can be this. Just now I was descending all in managed mode and autopilot disconnects and for the life of me I can’t get it back on then I get all manner of errors and overspeed and saying thrust lever idle and engine master off. If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful as was just starting to enjoy flying this.
I am not sure it is a recognised fault by fenix but several people report similar things.
I find that in 1 in about 20 flights the initial ascent is chaotic. AP keeps disengaging, auto throttle is lit up but the fenix keeps accelerating - and it is very hard to get everything back on track. Once there AP connects and all is well!
And I am sure I set up everything the same.

Does anybody know if freezing or ice is implemented in the fenix? Is started today in Finland at -4, engine ice on and could not retreat the left slat, display shows a lock. Never seen this. Also speed display was frozen. After a while the a320 said I should turn on wing anti ice. After that it takes another time as slats retreat and the fenix was like a rocket and speed up to 350 or so at 4000. It calms down back to 250 and after that everything was ok.

I often fly with IAG airlines. British Airways’ A320s have 168 seats, Iberia’s A320s have 171 seats, and Vueling’s A320s have 180 seats, but Fenix A320 only offer 162 seats. Do you know if Fenix guys are thinking in implementing cabin variants? That would be awsome for realism.
How is the performance of the Fenix A320?
I have flown the pmdg 737 (runs great), and the A310 (a lot slower), and the A310 after todays update (better, but the 737 is still faster).
Is the Fenix between 737 and A310?
Performance for me is like this: PMDG 737 > iniBuilds A310 > Fenix A320. But after the Fenix and iniBuilds updates the difference between them all is very small.

For me, the Fenix is somewhere between the 737 and the A310 (before yesterday’s patch) in terms of performance hit. I haven’t tried the A310 since yesterday’s patch though.

In your 1st screenshot it shows your localiser (“LOC”) chevron is way off to the left!
Capture that first, and then you should be able to capture the vertical glideslope (“G/S”).
Is the Approach button different than activating Approach from MCDU?
Yes, you need the approach button to land via ils etc. to catch localizer and glideslope. The a button in the mcdu will slow down the plane etc. so that is ready configured to land. You habe to fill in some information on the approach page.

Any tips on how to use the pushback? I need outside camera to see where the plane is going and when to turn and have to be inside to control the tablet. Such a shame that toolbar pushback is not compatible.
