Based on photos of most modernized A320 CEOs…
…the new cockpit illumination EIS2 V1 is now ready.
Because in the summer heat enjoying some EIS2 is refreshing.

thnx to @FinalLightNL for his great job of lighting!
For those of you who didn’t get much of a performance gain, if you have an integrated video card in addition to the dedicated one, try the Alternative Renderer option… That did WONDERS for me… It’s definitely on par with PMDG now. I was worried initially as I didn’t get much performance gain.
I’ll try that then! Didn’t see much gain initially, but will test again.
That is with an Intel K cpu e.g. i5-10600K, correct?
Yupo, have the same issue. Everything reacts sloooow
Yeah, I gained massive 2fps when switching from 4090 to UHD 770.
This is on a 10th gen laptop (Predator) with 16GB RAM and RTX 2060 (6GB) all on Ultra. I get 30 FPS in 30FPS locked mode. DX11
Fenix support replied, told me they know. Ticket closed.
Oh that’s beautiful, exceptional work
Thank you very much. It will get uploaded today the hardest part is always finding the small illuminated lines on the rotary switches to match the colour tone with that of the panel, because these light strips are always hidden somewhere on the emission-lightmap on an unknown location.
99% of retexturing goes into finding the location of the panels and the knobs the rest is simple, testing a few orange yellow amber tones until they match to all YouTube videos and airliners.net photos of illuminated Airbus cockpits.
For example you will see in all YouTube videos that the display switching panel will look rather deep orange (and also old-style, EIS1 style) illuminated, while the ECAM page panel looks more yellowish-golden illuminated. It is nice to have these details in the Fenix cockpit, that´s why I made an EIS2 overhaul for the fans of the most modern CEO layout.
Where are these uploaded to? Would love to use them what about the hit on performance of the plane?
Anyway yet of saving and restoring a flight mid flight like the pmdg 737 and leonardo md80
what does EIS mean?
Electronic Instruments System. It presents information to both PFD, both ND, SD and EWD displays. Latest is EIS 2, with LCD monitors (older where CRT) and other improvements.
How do you activate this? Thanks
in the fenix app, it basically reverses to the old render method.
So what is the word now on the update… have most of the issues been ironed out? Do you all recommend updating yet or staying on the older stable version 1?
What are you waiting for? Install V2, and try for yourself. And if you’re not happy, uninstall V2 and reinstall V1.
V2 is not experimental or Beta. It is stable and comes with many improvements and some new features.
Like every software it is still “incomplete” and has bugs.
But there are not more bugs than before and it is way more complete than V1
So absolutely no need to wait to update.
And if for whatever reson V1 was better for you, you can still go back.
When it first dropped there were a ton of problems, I just prefer to wait for those initial issues to be ironed out and I’m asking for that input. Sure I can upgrade then downgrade but I’d rather not go through that hassle and issues if I can avoid them.
