That sounds right. Just search on STEERING.
For some reason I cannot ear any cabin announcements… Inside the cockpit or cabin views.
Make sure you have the PA volume on and turned up. If that is turned off you won’t hear any announcements.
Unrelated, but - for those with GSX deboard issues - I’ve gotten it to work fine on the last 3 flights. Even if I don’t have a gate selected in GSX (or picked the wrong one), what works for me is to arrive at my gate, shut down the engines, request a jetway from GSX (that activates GSX services at the gate), and then shut off beacon. The Fenix will then go through the entire deboard process properly.
Yup thanks found it
Sorry but can you tell me what’s this PA volume and how to turn it on ?
On the audio panel is a button labeled PA
Press it and it will be illuminated in white.
Now you can hear PA.
Adjust the volume with turning the same knob, once it is active.
I think Fenix guys know about that, there’s a post on their Discord channel in the support section with many upvotes. The only workaround now is to line up on a runway, disable incremental thrust handling in the EFB and take-off in the detent mode (I believe you can also use F2/F3 for that).
I made some short tutorials in german language for the Fenix A320 Block 2
- Custom Cabin Announcements
- web EFB, web MCDU, EFB Background Picture
- Throttle Calibration incl. Reverse, Flap Lever Calibration
Cheers
Did I miss the requirement to calibrate the flap lever?
Don’t recall doing that with V1 but my flaps are inop despite the Thrustmaster flap lever checking good in the Options menu and outside the sim.
I’m also getting lots of really weird issues, from the displays being on despite having no power applied to the jet “taxiing” itself forward into the terminal on initialization at the gate!
Had none of these with V1 and it’s frustrating. Wish I could just go back!
There are multiple pages to the control calibration pages, one is flaps.
Huh, good to know. I must have forgotten doing it previously. Or I just lucked out.
With all the weird behavior, I think I’m due for a reinstall anyway.
Thanks for the help!
No worries. I had to rebuild my whole Axis and Ohs setup too. Fun times!
Are you in SU15 Beta?
No, just regular old whatever SU we’re up to!
It’s really odd because V1 worked (mostly) without a hitch.
V2, especially the IAE, has some really weird anomalies.
Thanks!
I actually wound up completely un and reinstalling the 320 and it seems to have addressed much of the weirdness.
And thanks to @Gorony I managed to calibrate my flaps again. You know, the real airplane doesn’t have that function! ![]()
The next challenge seems to be figuring out why the TO data now seems to insist that I can’t take off on a 11,500ft runway only 2/3 loaded with 15,000lbs of gas. On a pretty standard day. ![]()
I believe it’s a simbrief import issue with the EFB. Try resetting the performance page a few times and fill out the fields manually. It should work.
“retard” callouts in perpetuity after landing (not elegantly) - what am I doing wrong? Callouts only turn off after I switch to external camera and back to cockpit. FSRealistic disabled. Honestly my landing deserved the criticism, but it feels like I have something conflicting. Turned off AP at like 1000ft AGL, left autothrottle on, in the climb detent until ‘20’ callout. ~250ft/min-ish landing.
edit: video uploading once YouTube finishes munching on it
edit edit: their Discord makes it look like a (very well) known issue
Considering it’s an electronic lever it might actually have, same for the sidestick, throttle etc. But it’s definitely not something accessible to the pilots from the MCDU.
Hehe, fair point.
Sorry, I was being tongue in cheek. I actually fly the A319/320/321 IRL and, thankfully, I’ve never had to calibrate the throttle quadrant! ![]()
@JudgeDrez thanks for the heads up. I actually don’t use Simbrief or Navigraph as I prefer to hand jam the FMC for practice.
I wonder if Simbrief is now required? I didn’t have this issue in V1. ![]()
Anyway, thanks for all the help guys! I’m slowly getting all these things ironed out. ![]()
