WOW! Beta already, I thought there silence was a bad sign. This is amazing both PMDG and FENIX seem to be making progress, hopefully SU8 - the bug fix will provide a truly stable platform for there complex addons. My personal guess is that PMDG will still release first but if both betas go well I don’t think there will be a massive gap between them both. Very positive news :+1: :grinning: :airplane:

Don’t forget Ini and their A300 family . Although they might be later in a year.

Well if it fly’s as good as it sounds… This is going to be a dream come true if it delivers and I am sure it will.

LOL I was just about to say that. They nailed those sounds.

Wow, that sounds superb! I like how they placed it in a rainy setting as well with the puddles and lights.

Looks and sounds superb.

Sounds are amazing, it seems PMDG and Fenix will be releasing very close to each other!

It will be painful for my wallet, but both study-level A320 and B737 will come to my hangar. I will fly A320ceo within Europe and B737NG US domestic. Cannot wait for now!

Difference in way they react to challenges also stands out and is contrasting.

Looking at the external view from the video that is stunning.

Just my initial impression external model exceeds current visual representation of the Tollis Airbus I fly in xplane. Cockpit/ Tollis is study level and is IMHO one of the best modellers of the Airbus. Very excited to see the depth of the systems in Fenix to see if they match the Tollis.

The development progress is a good sign - but “Beta” does not mean the release is two weeks ahead. Remember the PMDG 737 “going into beta test in August 2021” …?

So far I have been disappointed with most developers and their planes at launch. Fenix will be no different I suspect. Most of the testers will be hard core pilots with big fancy setups. I will plug in a gamepad and all hell will break loose LOL.

I mean most of these planes STILL have issues today. Some not even finished. Aerosoft is learning and PMDG had a brutal start too but with some post support they got it sorted. I only wish I had beta for this plane because I know out of the box I am gonna run into a bunch of issues nobody ever spotted simply because they were too elite to plug in a gamepad.

Still looking forward to this plane. I have a feeling it will perform better than PMDG. With the current state of Nano VG and the sim the Fenix having Multi GPU support is gonna be nice. Wish I could test that aspect as it’s a new dynamic to this simulator. For me it boils down to performance though. Fenix has been profiling performance on this bird as they go so they know exactly where it sits and it’s going to be optimized to the teeth. I just hope it runs well. I have no doubt it will be a challenge to learn.

Would be really nice to have a demo or trial version of this plane. I have no doubt it will be good but performance is critical. If a refund policy is offered I will probably pick it up at launch. Otherwise I will have to wait for some performance profiling.

Nice to see it enter beta though. Good luck fellas!

In Europe also companies fly 737 and in the US the A320 too…

Well, the best study level Airbus for now is FsLabs in prepar3d. It’s superior to Toliss, but Toliss is evolving so well however. I hope this Fenix has the same level than FsLabs has.

Those good old 6 month beta testing eh

Lately he has been making us angry with his comments about the 737 or the Fenix. He looks like a hater or a troll.

Good points but either way if the Fenix reaches FSLabs or Tollis system standards, Fenix will leap into a top tier developer …all good

If you’re going to make an entrance into the market, you may as well do it like this.
Fenix Simulation could easily propel themselves into the top of the tree, bench-mark setting developers.

Which is why they have obviously been taking it very seriously and only moving to Beta now.
These guys know only too well that they need to get it absolutely spot on correct, as the sim community expectations are exceptionally high.

I can’t wait.
I think they’ve done everything right and proper, to bring us the best aircraft implementation for MSFS.
And PMDG will do the same for the 737, I have no doubt.

Out of all airplanes, you actually may be able to “fly” an airbus with a gamepad
