Hi
Since the update tonight has anyone else noticed a real slow down in the time taken to climb? I am using the A320 AP and speed wise it faster. I am flying at 320 knots as I climb but I am hardly climbing at all. Currently I am trying to get from 25k to 35k and the ATC is getting a little peeved! The climb icon on the display is barely one notch above level flight. Doesn’t improve whether I I take over climbing or let the AP do it. Is it a bug or is it now actually climbing more like the real aircraft?
Its taken nearly 10 mins to get from 25k to 27k so far

Just taken over the speed management and slowed me down and the climb rate improved for a shot time but now back to how it was. Just not climbing and I am being told to expedite my climb. Will log a bug
I hv experienced this too. Also yesterday I saw some one was doing a Live stream with a320 in mfs2020 on YouTube, he was struggling with the climb rate also after the patch.
The Plane is not able to hold the vertical speed at high altitude. The indicated air speed stucks somewhere between 240-250 knots.
In my case , after FL 280, the plane was going up and then down due to uncontrolled rising and dropping vertical speed, like a roller coster.
This might be wrong, but I hv also noticed a slower acceleration during takeoff roll and a slower turn rate at lower altitudes than it was before.
A320 was performing well for the past two-three weeks. But With this new patch, Developers have successful managed to screw up with the plane again. They are just not learning from previous patch failures.
Who had asked for the patch with new scenes , that they just brought it up without testing the impact on performance?
Developers should take a break.
Yes, it’s really annoying. I was getting on fine with the A320 and now it is completely unusable. The AP can’t even maintain the proper heading as the turn rate is way too slow and laggy. Why don’t they sack some of the devs and hire QA instead.

Yep, two major problems now with the A320:
- AP won’t follow the FP and just wants to bank left or rig but
- Extremely slow climb rate
This is so frustrating because the A320 was my favorite (and best IMO) to fly and now it’s just completely broken and unflyable.
However, I can’t tell if the A320 is more realistic with its climb rate compared to real life, but I thought they fixed the fuel consumption a while back. I’ve noticed a difference for a while now before the update.

There are other topics on this subject, when you get to higher altitudes (25k and above) turn icing on. When I did that the climb rate was fine, it will always be a slower rate at higher altitudes but with icing on mine climbed consistently.
Also on Approach as an aside it is now vital that the wind speed and direction is entered into the computer when its given to you by ATC. Without it ILS approach is offline

I agree with most of the observations said here as I saw the same. I did icing previously as I thought that might be the basis for the slow climb issue.
I pretty much hold my hand over my eyes on every update. QA testing really isn’t any better and continues to be a major challenge for them to achieve quality releases.
The recent update was a tragedy to the A320 They brought in a whole new set of issues and while not required the fine work done by the FBW team on the A320 seems like it should at least get some confirmation in their release process. Breaking one of the most popular mods in the game at a time when there are so many issues and few alternatives just seems like it should get more recognition in their process.
