You know I was wondering too. I am new to Airbus (tons of time in Boeing ) and last short flight using simbrief numbers to setup the load and FMC, I believe 11,000lbs of fuel and around 142,000 for the TOW
Man this plane is struggling to climb to FL360.
Around FL250 it loses all of its go juice and I’m climbing at around 200 - 300fpm as atc asks me to expedite my climb to fl360 lol.
Disconnecting the auto throttle and pushing to max throttle still doesn’t give it any love.
Will the AP do this for you when FMC is programmed correctly and everything is in managed mode or is this a manual procedure? I’ll make sure to push it myself on my next flight to see.
Thanks!
I believe the AP should do this automatically in managed mode. One thing that happened with me was that the throttle was slightly out of the climb detent and that caused issues. It got moved since I have other keys mapped to the throttle.
I am having the same issue and it started in the last couple of days. I tried to Fly from KMCI to KBWI and it won’t let me even fly by wire above 32000 FT. Again, this just started in the last couple days.
Just came across another issue during my approach. I don’t know if RNAV isn’t working on the A320 mod but boy o boy did it give some issues today. My plane wouldn’t descend at all! Not on managed mode not manually!
Anyone with this issue during an RNAV approach?
ILS works fine.
Turning on the Heaters appears to have cleared up my issues, I am having no more issues climbing above 32000 even when ICE build up is happening on my wings and rudder…
