A320 Climb Issue?

You know I was wondering too. I am new to Airbus (tons of time in Boeing ) and last short flight using simbrief numbers to setup the load and FMC, I believe 11,000lbs of fuel and around 142,000 for the TOW
Man this plane is struggling to climb to FL360.

Around FL250 it loses all of its go juice and I’m climbing at around 200 - 300fpm as atc asks me to expedite my climb to fl360 lol.
Disconnecting the auto throttle and pushing to max throttle still doesn’t give it any love.

Wondering if this was normal for Airbus

I don’t, however, have any issues with descent.

I’ll try it

Are you switching over to mach numbers? That’s usually the altitude for transition and not using mach numbers could cause that issue.

Will the AP do this for you when FMC is programmed correctly and everything is in managed mode or is this a manual procedure? I’ll make sure to push it myself on my next flight to see.
Thanks!

I believe the AP should do this automatically in managed mode. One thing that happened with me was that the throttle was slightly out of the climb detent and that caused issues. It got moved since I have other keys mapped to the throttle.

I have tried managed and selected mode - no dice on anything. I’ve moved the throttle around all over and killed AP and killed auto throttle too.

I got those issues too from time to time, until i realised that i forgot to turn on all my

anti ice.

I am having the same issue and it started in the last couple of days. I tried to Fly from KMCI to KBWI and it won’t let me even fly by wire above 32000 FT. Again, this just started in the last couple days.

can you guys please check if this helps you? @DermicPlayer706 @iamblue916632

The only really important one in your screen shot is missing:

AFAIK Probes and window heat which needs to be switched to ON in the MSFS A320 because the auto ON function doesn’t work.

Wing anti ice is very seldom needed IRL and it heats only 3 outboard slat segments.

@PZL104 Thanks - good to know.
I usualy use probes and window heat, too.
Somehow I thought this wouldn’t matter for the screenshot

Just came across another issue during my approach. I don’t know if RNAV isn’t working on the A320 mod but boy o boy did it give some issues today. My plane wouldn’t descend at all! Not on managed mode not manually!
Anyone with this issue during an RNAV approach?
ILS works fine.

Turning on the Heaters appears to have cleared up my issues, I am having no more issues climbing above 32000 even when ICE build up is happening on my wings and rudder…

Nope - I have thes on already when I use the mod

What do you mean by this? The airspeed indication remains accurate even at higher altitude and Mach numbers.
