A320 FBW can not climb tp FL 410 as ATC say, it stay at 340 - 350
If you believe this is a bug, you should file a bug report on their official repository or through other channels outlined on their website.
Max certified altitude for the A320NEO is 39,800 ft. But you can’t be too heavy or you won’t get there either.
I have reported to FlyByWire Simulation, help, for it is a bug.
How so? Please explain how an aircraft with a service ceiling of 39,100 or 39,800 feet depending on whether or not a certain modification has taken place being unable to climb to 41,000 feet is a bug in either the sim or the FBW mod?
Because the performance (without FBW mod) is considerably lower than even the ceo. Are you sure about the 39.100 and 39.800 ft? Sounds useless to me, in both cases the maximum useable flight level would be FL390… Although not a proof of good airmanship the A320 is able to climb above FL390 performance wise, although at max. weight it is considerably lower.
From the type certificate;
SECTION 1: A320 SERIES - continued
11. Flight Envelope
Maximum Operating Altitude:
39 100 ft (pressure altitude)
AIRBUS
A318, A319, A320, A321
39 800 ft (pressure altitude) if modification 30748 is embodied
There is apparently a newer one which has 41000 but requires another mod. We’re not talking about PMDG or Flight Factor who model sub-versions based on tail# here, we’re looking at the sim talking about 39K as a ceiling.
Saying “it has anemic climb above 30K and this is a bug” is different than the thread title of “it’s a bug because I can’t get to FL410” which this version is not simulated to do… I don’t think that’s splitting hairs - it’s a pretty fundamentally different issue.
Funny, in both cases the maximum useable FL remains FL390.
I think what the OP is trying to say is that the aircraft doesn’t have the performance to climb up to FL410. And this is true, since last update the default A320 performance is hopeless and last time I tested the FBW mod has the same problem although there are constant updates so maybe something has been done in the meanwhile.
just made a flight 2 hours ago and it climbed perfectly to FL380…
with today’s FBW master version
I also made a flight today and climb well, with FBW development version. The problem I had yesterday, with stable vesion.
