A320 FBW not following flight plan (after SU6 I guess)

Hello All

I haven’t been flying the A320 FBW for some 3 - 4 weeks. But back then I was very well able to take off, follow flight plan and land - all nicely by the book. Using Simbrief for flight planning.

Now I tried again after SU6 and this is what happens:

After Take-Off I hand over to the AP at around 2000 Ft and flight path centered nicely
AP takes over and does NOT follow the flight plan
Instead, it flies some large circles around the airport - following a plan I have never entered
Important: There are NO USR-Waypoints in my flight plan - I have no clue where the AP has the waypoints he is following - it does not at all correspond to what the MFD and FMC shows

Any idea what I’m doing wrong here?

I’m going to attach a screenie of the flight deck, maybe you can spot the issue?

Thanks a lot!

Which version do you use? What happend if you do a direct to this point?

I am using the stable 0.7.0 Version. As for “Direct To” - I tried but it would not work either, but I might have goofed that up as I never used Direct To yet, so don’t read too much into this.

oh wow, you too all my aircraft are having the same problems. but when I file the plans manually they all follow the flight plan. I thought I was the only one having that problem.

Unsupported Leg-Type that is causing problems here. Stable version is using MSFS default flightplanner, which is pretty bad. Get the experimental-version, it includes the custom Flightplanmanager, it is WAY better.

I don’t think you really ever want to be using the stable builds of this plane. The sim and plane changes so frequently it quickly renders stable builds obsolete or unflyable.

That said, you need to be using the dev or exp. versions. They are updated daily and have the most features. For example, the sounds have been reworked (just when you think it already sounds perfect, they just knock it out of the park AGAIN ). I have completed six problem free flights over the past few days and it flies beautifully!

Wasn’t the stable version recalled from the Marketplace? Don’t use a recalled product.

thanks, guys ill download the experimental version now and do a follow up

Aaaand - we are good again  Thanks mate - using the DEV-Version and all is good!

Out of curiosity. Is the custom lnav in dev already ? Last time I used dev, the autopilot wanted to go back during the approach. This is why I am using the experimental version.

I tried the Exp version and it stutters pretty bad. The dev version doesn’t but it doesn’t use the custom LNAV so I won’t fly it.

I use the Dev version and it is not following the flightplan made in the MSFS flightplanner but when imported from Simbrief, it works without any issues.

Cheers,

Yeah, the current exp. version stutters badly, unfortunately. But i wont fly the dev version, so i waiting till they fix it.

It was recalled because of compatibility issues with the MSFS version and the licensing terms of the marketplace. And that was the previous stable version. The current stable version is working just fine.

But I would suggest OP to use the Dev or Exp. version.

I dunno… I’ve been flying the dev version for a while and I’ve always been using the default MSFS flight planner but I never had any flight path issues. Maybe it’s “how” I set up the flight plan in the world map that’s different. I dunno.

I was not aware that they re-released the stable version to the Marketplace

I don’t think they re-release it in the marketplace. As far as I know, you can only download the Stable version (or any version for that matter) through the FBW Installer app.

Get the development or experimental version. Do not use the stable version. It’s based on the default flightplanner. I use the dev version. Works great for me! And I use the direct to on the fms, like on real life. Works!!!

Update it regularly through the app. Have no problems with mine at all👍

I was only talking about the Marketplace stable version this whole time
