I’ve been flying the A320 for the majority of the time that I’ve been playing the game and on a few occasions I’ve wanted to use the crossfeed valve to balance the aircraft and it has consistently not worked, I’ve researched online how it works on the actual aircraft and either I am doing it wrong or the sim doesn’t properly simulate this. When I have the crossfeed valve open only the engine on the same side as the active fuel pumps will run, is this a known issue or is this a problem only I have had?
It certainly happens with the default A320 in my sim as well.
You should enter this as a support request to Zendesk so it gets entered in the system, and not lost in the shuffle here.
I did a search in the forums here, but there is no mention that I can see of this issue.
I’m glad it’s not just me being stupid, thanks for the help.
Yep still not fixed . You can alight the button but no actual crossfeed occurs.
They might as well deactivate the button and balance the fuel as defacto…
Fixed now : the old bug of when the centre tank runs empty, an engine shuts down, is back from being fixed at one point. It caused my tanks to be unbalanced. Switching on the crossfeed and turning off the heavy tank for a while allowed me to bring the tanks in balance again.
This feels like a futile exercise, but I am reporting the same issue with the A320neo crossfeed not working. Pressing the button doesn’t do anything.
It’s strange really. So many of the other buttons in the MSFS A20N are inoperable, but this one actually allows you to press it. Then, when you do so, nothing happens. I don’t understand why the developer doesn’t either:-
(a) deactivate the button, like all the others,
(b) get it to do something, or
(c) add a short post here to confirm that this particular bug won’t be addressed.
It is infuriating when people take the time to report a bug via the proper channel and get completely ignored for years.

PS - there is a link between this bug and the A20N engine flame out during cruise (reported elsewhere). When you fly on one engine for a while, it leads to a fuel imbalance in the wing tanks which you would normally resolve using the crossfeed.
Can confirm - Inibuilds A320neo v2 (released as part of Sim Update 15 this week, May 2024)… Fuel Cross-Feed does not seem to work.
The in-game checklist has you turn on the APU very early in the set up process, so if you follow it, the APU ends up burning quite a bit of fuel from the left hand tanks while you configure the airplane, leading to a fairly large imbalance.
I tried to turn on XFeed which did not do much, Then I turned all fuel pumps on, and then left pumps off…
Seems like it’s not modeled.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
