Hello,
I would like to address the issue where when I slide the throttle on my T.FLIGHT HOTAS ONE, the A320s engines run up to “Full Thrust” as normal.
That is fine however…
The Autothrottle activates itself when I slide the controller right to the top, causing the “Fullest Thrust” to “reduce” a little. Only when I manually disconnect the Autothrottle, the engines run up to the highest TOGA/Full thrust.
Is there a way to gain the maximum thrust WITHOUT constantly switching off the Autothrottle after sliding the controller to the top every time I takeoff?
Thanks!
Is this on the default unmodded A320?

Okay, to answer your question. There is a way to gain maximum thrust without the thrust reduction. But it requires you to install the A32NX mod to replace the A320, not using the default one. The A/THR is still activated because that’s how the airbus systems work. But on MAN TOGA mode, it should be completely manual control.

Ahhhh. I understand that. I thought that when you apply the controller all the way up, it would override the Autothrottle function altogether. And only automatically engage the Autothrottle when the engines are on “FLEX” or “LVL CLB” mode!
Nope, the auto throttle will always engage whenever you pass that CL detent and above. You can still disable it of course, but it will always automatically engage whenever you push the throttle past the CL detent. But as long as it’s on MCT or TOGA mode, it should still be manual control with MAN mode even if the A/THR is active.
