Hi all, I’m after some help please. I have the A320 Neo and have a sim brief account. I set a flight plan and migrate it to sim brief and the flight plan appears in the IPAD no problem. But my question is how do I tell the plane to follow the flight plan. As when I’m in the air and click auto pilot it does nothing. Also, there are no way points on my screen to follow. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks again.
You haven’t mentioned that you have loaded the simbrief plan into the MCDU. That is what the autopilot will follow. Just having it on the flypad is not sufficient. Did you mean flypad when you said ipad, or are you using an external ipad as your MCDU?
Hi DorchFlyer, thank you for your reply. Yes i was vauge. So last night i spent a few hours again trying to get autopilot to work. The stage im at is. Yes i load the sim brief flight plan onto the internal tablet. I have then transferred the flight plan to the MCDU. I can now see all my flight plan on the radar screen perfectly. Ive selected which gate to depart from and the runway to arrive on. All is fine. But when i set off and am in the air, i click AP 1 and it doesnt follow the plan. All what i have on the AP settings is i think 3 _ _ _ and a circle and i think an alititude of 15000 ft which the plane goes over. Do i have to toggle any others switches or bottons? FD is on also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I’m not sure how to help you. What A320 is this, standard, V2 or FBW…?
I always fly the FBW but I thought the APs were pretty similar.
If you have the flightplan on the display I’d have thought it should follow OK.
From ready for departure on the runway you have auto thrust on, apply TOGA (or temperature reduced setting) accelerate and take off. Turn on the AP and retract flaps. That should work.
The only time I’ve ever had the AP not come on is if I am using the stick to turn at that time. The autopilot does seem to need a fairly stable situation to engage.

Hi there thanks again. No Pc. A320 fenix fly by wire is the aircraft. Just am not sure if i need something else swithched on. Thanks anyway.

How i setup the a320 is, at the world I setup all my waypoints/create my flight plan! In cockpit, on the flight computer. Click on f-plan!

Hi, have you fully programmed the mcdu with fuell/weight/take off performance/init b page/sids/stars, flight directors on?
Set your desired altitude and then VS to tell it how fast to get to that altitude.
Click NAV to tell the AP what to follow.
The AP will then follow your Flight Plan.
No SID set up from departure runway?
I thought he had the plan loaded.
