your premise is wrong, most people don’t use autoland, because it is so unreliable if you are constantly venturing to new airports thus are unfamiliar with how well it works there or even how well the ILS is aligned and what it dose in the last in the last stages from ~300ft AGL downward, or even if it has ILS at all.
