A320 Rolls left on retard and flare

same here, below 60 ft AGL rolled to the right and it was completly useful to get it back to the center so, what the heck happened there? (yeah, i was lined up and obiously i have to make some movements to keep it on but theres a moment when you just dont have the control anymore and have to Go Around)

The A320 rolls left at flare every time. No amount of right aileron will correct it. It seems to have a mind of its own.

Same for me as well. And there is no way to roll to the other side. Even with a full control input.
The only way to get out of the situation is a full throttle go around and a new try.
I think there should be some kind of fix coming.

It is Fly By Wire (FBW) acft and during the flare real world A3xx go into this funny flare mode (below 50ft RA), which, to be put in simplest words and and not going into other details, tries to crash you into the ground by sending some slight elevator trim down inputs, so the pilot need to hold stick aft - to mimic a ā€˜feelingā€™ similar to more natural and common non FBW acft feel settling down near gorund. It is of course totally messed up in this default A320 from Asobo, but actually holding positive AFT pressure on the stick during flare makes it land surprisingly smooth :stuck_out_tongue: Just land it like a cessna and AVOID any ā€˜pumpingā€™ action on elevator axis.

That is correct. However, we are complaining about uncommanded roll on top of the pitch sensitivity issues (yes, a bit more than a quarter sidestick aft will send you climbing in MSFS, thatā€™s a separate issue).

We got a real challenge then I guess, at least until anything serious comes from 3rd party or a community fix  It is quite funny to fly, for a default FBW ā€˜implementationā€™.

Iā€™ve submitted a ticket with the roll issue.

Ive experienced this bug also, i think the plane needs a minor tweak, since there is a workaround.

If you land at 150ish-155+kts (empty or heavy, matters very little) it seems the plane lands like it should 140-146 and it banks left for no reason when close to the ground.

Conclusion: I think the minimum landing speed is set a little to high for the 320, as landing a light 320 is perfectly comortable around 140kts.

I got same thing just now on TBM, but this time on takeoffā€¦ roll to the left just after nose came up (no xwind at all) Iā€™m sure it scrubbed runway with wingtip. It makes me wonder that it might be something connected with the air mass simulation that needs fix/tweak or simply bugged ground effect.

I have had similar issues. Landing planes in this flight simulator is not straightforward. The landings have been quite messy. Despite on take off, the plane does seemingly head straight down the centre line just now and then it may go off course due to winds. There is definitely a bug when it comes down to landing, not only the A320 but also other aircraft.

Just want to add that I have also had this issue. A320 rolls hard on flare (usually left) and becomes irrecoverable. I have only had one successful landing out of at least 15. Interestingly as you said, the elevator controls are over sensitive and my flare causes me to shoot down half the runway.

I bought this SIMULATOR to finally replace FS9 and the one aircraft that has the most immersive system implementation of the defaults (especially with the NX project) cant even land.

Pretty disappointed and it makes me want to not play. Please fix this ASOBO.

sometimes the plane rolls to the left side on final without any control input from me and zero wind and because of the reduced aileron authority under 100ft its really hard to bring it back under control.

Here is a example. Watch to the Joystick inputs and the reactions of the plane. Approach perfect control, on final no control for some seconds.

Hmmmm ā€¦ Is that one of those landing challenges? Thay are pretty terrible in the A320, they start you pointing all over the place, too close to the airport, and wobble everywhere.
It looks like you are been forced to treat it like a fighter jet lol :Ā¬)

You need to be lined up MUCH earlier, and descend at a reasonably slow rate (3Ā° glide slope is normal)
Also, you made that approach with what looks like flaps set to 1? ā€¦ 180 kts flaps to 1 or 2, flaps to 2 or 3 at 165 and to 3 or 4 at 150ish and below.

Yes, I know how to land. I intentionally land like this to show that we donā€™t have full control on short final.

Yes it was a landing challenge and the flaps was on 4.

the roll is still, after the update, very lazy and difficult to recover :frowning:

But the pitch has been improved.

Yup. I am still having this issue. Happens when I practice landings and on landing challenges but not on actual IFR flights. I am going to reinstall the entire game. Was hoping it wouldnā€™t come to this.

While landiong my A320 rolls to the left a little bit. The control is a bit difficult. Any one facing it?

Yes near the ground during landing and after rotation at the take pff the plane move to the left.

Okay, thank! didnā€™t know that was real world physics!
