A320 V2 Displays Freezing

Same problem here, just happened again.
Was modifying the flightplan while flying, as soon as I pressed the DIR button on the MCDU, all systems froze and did not recoved. You can still press buttons, turn knobs etc., but they don’t react (none, no throttle levers, AP-toggle etc etc).
Flight ruined again.

I concur, same issue as everyone else is having. Especially happens on long haul flights for me, the MCDU starts ok, but after 6+ hour flights, I come to put in my approach and the MCDU is frozen.

Also experienced this several times. Seems to happen on longer flights, 2+ hours and last controls being used was the FMC. Seems to be tied to editing the flight plan. In my case I had the entire route programmed from the beginning without a arrival star or runway. Keyed in runway and star based on sector approaching from, worked fine. Got new instructions requiring a new runway. After hitting arrival key again, unable to enter new runway or star, all controls frozen as described earlier in thread.

So… months later now… any update on this? The post is still in status “feedback-logged”, so it seems it’s still not accepted as bug to be fixed?
I’m really don’t want to fly the A320v2 anymore as the freezes happened to me several times and ruined the complete flight… :expressionless:

The next AAU will have the V2 as one of the planes to be updated. I assume this will be fixed.

On longer flights where I do a lot of typing in the MCDU, it unfortunately still freezes. Even after the update. (Series S)

I totally feel you! I’m having the same issue on longer flights when I spend a lot of time entering data in the MCDU. It still freezes, even after the update. (PC Windows 11)

Unfortunately, I gave up on this aircraft.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Displays frozen after a two hour flight and interacting with the mcdu aparently aau3 didn’t fix it

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Same thing happened tonight (10-3) cockpit froze. Second time for me. First time was day after the Update. In between these two flight I have had several flights with no problem. Intermittent.

I can confirm this problem. Since the Oct 1st update this happens to me bascially every flight. All displays freeze.

guys this i just had this happen to me again, it’s happening too often

Nope. NO issues at all. It’s a wonderful AAU3 update and Inibuilds have really tweaked their free A320neo V2. It’s just so good and stable. 5 stars!

Never had this happen before AAU3, added arrival via point and approach, then all cockpit displays froze and no interaction with any display controls, flight continues and hid in external view work fine external controls fines ie throttles, yoke. Suspect WASM related as it looks exactly like the initial WASM issues with the AN225. On XBox series X.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it? Yes, appeared to happen after entering the arrive via point and approach into the mcdu.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Displays freeze and not control in the cockpit work, have only experienced this since AAU3, external view hud is fine and flight does continue, external input controls work fine.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Happens to me almost every flight when changing the arrival on the MCDU. This has happened before and after the update.

it did happen before the update, but in my case, after the update i’m getting it all the time, it wasn’t this bad before

During my YouTube live stream yesterday, this problem occurred during my first flight with the A320 v2. It starts at 01:53:51

Seems that some are more affected than others. I have this problem also. A question - how much ram do you have? (I have 16gb. Maybe that’s the issue? Maybe default avionics simply cannot access paging file and thus some have this problem and some don’t - those who have 32+ gb of ram)

Exactly the same as in the video linked above by Mert4Ever happens to me all the time. You can no longer operate anything, everything freezes. When I take off from a large handcrafted airport, I have black screens.
I can avoid black screens by taking off at small airports, but this freezing is unpredictable. (Series S)

If I take off from a small airport Cold and Dark at the gate and get the plane ready for 30 minutes, I have no black screens but at some point in the air it freezes.

Now I have tried to take off immediately from the runway with the engines running and it still freezes.
And I like the airplane because I fly with Series S. So i can’t use Fenix. It’s not because of the Series S, even if it doesn’t work with PC.

Freeze still happens to me. 32 gigs Ram. I deleted and re-installed–no help. I deleted again yesterday and will re-install again today. If that works I’ll report back.
Plane unusable to me as is.
