Hi @a9master ,

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

This issue is usually due to a mod conflict. Have you disabled your community folder and/or started in safe mode ?
See also that support article:

I did rename my community folder but to no effect.
I’m not sure how to enable safe mode when I’ve had no CTD with MSFS.
I just looked up and need to place a running.lock file in the directory of the install, but strangely it didn’t seem to work for me

To start in safe mode (it will disable your community and marketplace addons): once into the sim, go to your Windows Task manager and terminate msfs.exe. Restart the sim and you’ll get the safe mode option.

I’ve tried it at least twice so far and it doesn’t ask me whether to use safe mode
(I just load into the main menu, so maybe that’s where I went wrong?)

That’s weird, after having terminated the msfs.exe:
Screenshot (1134)

when restarting the sim, you should get a that window prompt:
download

When loading the plane, I terminated using the method you mentioned and got safe mode options.

When loading, the A320 V2 seems to work. Now it’s just making this work in normal mode

It should also work when terminating msfs.exe being in the main menu without the need to load a plane.

When you renamed you community folder, did you restart the sim ?
Have you recently installed new addons through the community folder and/or the Marketplace ?

I renamed the community folder yesterday, then changed it back once I saw it made no difference that day. I neither added nor removed anything from it as I knew it could corrupt this troubleshooting nightmare

Did you restart the sim after having renamed the community folder ?

Multiple times, yes.
I even used the developer mode and tried to identify what went wrong. Apparently, some thing or some file could not be found. I don’t have the exact message that I think is relevant

Ok. So if with your community folder empty issue still happens, then the culprit should be among your Marketplace addons. Do you have many ?, could you disable them all and add them back one by one until finding which one could cause that conflict ?

I do have some that I downloaded but I don’t have too much plane-related ones.
What should I do? it’ll be a huge pain to reinstall everything I lost from this step

Try to uninstall all planes related 1st and see if issue is still there or not. If issue is not there then it is one of those addons you have uninstalled. If issue still there, then disable all the other ones and test again. Sometimes the culprit can be one that is not directly related to the aircraft.

And I assume it’s safe to boot back to normal mode?

Yes, totally safe.

After a few minutes, I deleted all of the marketplace mods using the select button except the A320 enhanced and the related files. This still leaves with the same error.
It’s super strange

I guess that after having deleted MP mods you have restarted the sim in normal mode right ?

I entered normal mode first, then deleted all MP mods except ones related to the A320 enhanced (Not the original A320).
I’m now renaming my community folder again and restarting just to check if I was a total numpty yesterday

Edit: Still the pink windshield even after doing that and leaving MP mods uninstalled

What do I do now?
