When using the EFB importing data from SimBrief to send payload data to the FMGS, the aircraft becomes completely unresponsive. After the data transfer, cockpit controls no longer function.
Steps to Reproduce:
-
Start a flight in any aircraft equipped with EFB/FMGS integration
-
Open the EFB
-
Adjust payload settings (passengers, cargo, fuel, etc.) / import from Simbrief
-
Send/apply payload data to the FMGS
-
Attempt to interact with cockpit controls (knobs, dials, switches)
Expected Result:
Aircraft systems and controls should remain fully functional after syncing payload data with the FMGS.
Actual Result:
-
All cockpit inputs stop responding
-
Knobs and dials cannot be adjusted
-
Switches do not register input
-
Aircraft appears “frozen” from an interaction standpoint
-
No visible system updates occur after sending payload
Frequency:
Always
Workarounds Tried:
-
Restarting the flight
-
Reloading aircraft
-
Avoiding EFB payload sync (prevents issue but removes feature use)
Additional Notes:
This issue makes the aircraft unusable once triggered and requires restarting the session. Occurs consistently when using the EFB → FMGS payload sync feature.
I have checked and this bug is not present in SU4 - this appears to be linked to SU5.
